if you have the chance to go watch a large international tournament, but as you are traveling, you can only be there for 1 day, which day would you pick to go?

would you go to watch the final during the weekend with all the big crowd and cheering and all the actions?

or would you pick the middle of the week during the earlier rounds when there are very few ppl and you can get close to the players and the action?

    Quarter finals.

That way you get to see most of the best players in action, before they are too tired, and they may even be competing against each other.

Also the crowds start to pick up by the quarter finals.

I agree either quarters and semi finals day(s) are the best

Same, I'd pick the day with the most action. Finals would be awesome but could be too short of a day. Sometimes the earlier rounds are really entertaining to watch too because sometimes you get to see the really strong teams put on a "show" against weaker opponents.

    Are you guys kidding?

Final day is the only day! Don't you feel you're leaving a story unfinished without watching the final day?

    Semi's

Sorry, but I would say the Semi's over anything else  .

In years past at the U.S. Open, it seems like the best matches were on the Semi finals. If I was forced to prioritize I would see the Semi's, then the Quarters, and the Finals last. Just my opinion  .

If i have to choose, i will go to the Semis. And at the same time easier to apporach those who have already lost the day before. Semis , the players really play hard for the Finals , there is where the action starts besides the quarters.

i would actually prefer the earlier rounds. coz i like to see the dark horses in action. it will also depend on the draw as well as sometimes you have 2 'big' names of sort having a showdown in the early stages.

i actually think that the semi-finals are the best to watch because i feel that it's usually more exciting since the players are more hyped up (they play harder because they can almost taste the victory) ;)

Definitely the quarter-final day, you get to see four matches per event, and the games are fairly competitive, you don't any really easy one-sided games.

On semi-final day, you find that some of the top players you wanted to see have already been knocked out.

Is "All Days" a possible answer?? :D :p

Otherwise, I agree most interesting matches are usually at quarter-final stage.
But the finals also have something special to them...

    Q/f for sure.

s/f only if two courts are playing in the same session.

QF for a fairly well organized and high lvl (at least qualified for star lvl) tournament. SF or Final for a relatively lower lvl (i.e. not star lvl, but more like A, B or at least regional lvl).
