too bad Xuerui will not be playing at the Swiss Open next week, or else, she might end up winning all the three titles during her Europe trip. :D

In a way I am glad that Wang Yihan didn't win it, the Jinx won't affect her game in London this summer.

A new problem now arises with Li Xuerui on the rise to the top 4 in the world, will LYB comtemplate dropping one of the WANGs to put Li Xuerui instead ?

I dont want Wang Yihan or Wang Shixian to be dropped neither do Wang Xin....

the said-to-be Jinx you're talking about actually doesn't exist. Is there any proof of it ? If yes, i'd be pleasured to get it

Darn you Yihan. You cost my paw. :D :D :D Should have thought of this outcome. Issssh... But yeah, well done Li Xuerui, I remember some years ago when Suetyan mentioning you as her sister and you come up as an All England champ now! WOW. Even Zhang Ning hasn't won it. :D And for Wang Yihan, I know you will bounce back stronger. :) Time to cheer for INA players! Tontowi/Liliyana...!! SEMANGAT!! Wow, it's a double helix chain. :D 6 all. [IMG]

Tell/convince me whether are these mere coincidences or what. AE/OG Jinx has been affecting particularly Chinese players when they win the AE during the OLYMPIC YEAR followed by a disastrous performance or failure to win the gold. The following names can add up to this claim.

1992 MS Winner - Liu Jun = crashed out in the OG 1992 Barcelona
1992 WS Winner - Tang Jiuhong = finished as semifinalist, failed to win gold

2000 MS Winner - Xia Xuanze = semifinalist lost to hendrawan

2004 MS Winner - LIN DAN = crashed out in the first round ( WTF ?)
2004 WS Winner - Gong Ruina = finished fourth place
2004 WD Winner - Gao Ling/Huang Sui - silver medallist despite being favoured to win against compatriots

2008 MS Winner - Chen Jin = two possible outcomes, beaten by Lin Dan or Lee Chong Wei, he wont win
2008 XD Winner - Gao Ling/ZhengBo = crashed out in the first round/ defeated by Nathan Robertson and emms..

    Tell me about it !

Olympics aside, Wang Yihan and Wang Shixian are considered more successful than Zhang Ning in terms of winning major titles. Both have respectively won the coveted World Championship and Asian Games together with their name carved on the All England trophy.

Zhang Ning is as ill-fated as Taufik, reached the final three times in a row and got denied by Lin Dan's wife :)
