i am confuse over victor G2 size, is it equal to yonex G4 or G5. i find out that victor G2 size with 2 over grip, both half overlapping is perfect for my hand.. so next time if i get to change to yonex racket i will know what size to get. but i also find out that i went to a shop which sell victor racket and i hold most of the victor racket which is stated in g2 but does not feel right as some racket felt like g4 in yonex term and some felt like g5 in yonex term but all are label as g2 in victor term. kind of confuse.
It should be equal to a G4 since the numbering for the Victor is reverse. The racket will feel differently in terms of the grip size even thou the grip number is the same is because of the stock grip's grip thickness; It is the wood handle's size which would remain essentially the same size. The wood handle shape may different from one racket series to another but do not worry about this since they are still within classifications of grip sizing. Take for instance, Nanospeed and Arc Saber stock grips. Nanospeed has a thickness of 1.60mm and Arc Saber is 1.65mm. When holding both of these rackets, assuming the same grip size, Arc Saber will feel that the grip is bigger.
I am planning to get Victor MX80. I love yonex G5 grip. What grip size should I buy for Victor? I can't really try it because I am going to buy it online.
I generally found victor g2 to be roughly the same size as g5. I say roughly because I usually find it to be a little bit smaller.
I have used both Yonex and Victor rackets. I use G5 yonex and the G2 victor is very close to that size. Sometimes when handling down to the bare wood, the G2 feels slightly larger than the G5 although definitely not anywhere near G4 Yonex.
i have Victor BS 12 3UG2, yonex rackets 3U/4UG5 and Li-ning S2... this of these racket size is almost the same... or you can consider them same... for me is like no different.
Are they gripped similarly? My guess is that you somehow gripped the Yonex larger, because everyone has either said that g2=g5 or g2 is slightly bigger than g5, not g2 smaller than g5.
Last night I compared my Arc Z-Slash (g5) and BS-LYD (g2), both without the original grip (bare wood) and found the Victor's g2 is actually bigger.
Hey, for my voltric 80 i use 3u g5, im debating whether to switch to meteor x-80 but im not sure what grip and weight to pick that will be similar to 3u g5. Any help??
The closest you will get now that Victor has changed it's naming on grips is 3UG5. If you are buying old stock it's a bit trickier Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
old Victor stock G2 is btw Yonex G4 and G5 size wise. G3 is in btw Yonex G3 and G4 I think.New stock they are inline with Yonex (G5 Victor = G5 Yonex)
I think the current Vcitor G5 is a shade thicker than Yonex's G5. Maybe half a grip size, but it's definitely there.
