ankle sprains are not painful enough to induce tears on a man like LCW.

LCW tears came from his realization that a bad ankle sprain could take up to 6 weeks to heal and that will affect his Olympics preparation in a very big way. and could potentially means losing out on the Gold. given he has worked to win that Gold all his life and he is only 2 months from the next and last attempt, that will drive any man to tears.

Indeed, life is so unpredictable, unforeseen circumstances, the unexpected happening now and then. I can only hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise for LCW, with all these setbacks and few people giving him high hopes of winning the OG, there is less pressure on him and ,who knows,he can let himself go and play his very best badminton to surprise everybody.

Injury, that accursed thing in sport, hope nobody else has to suffer that misfortune till after the OG at least, and wish LCW a speedy recovery. No one should ever write him off, I still believe he will be a serious contender for OG gold.:)

There was no way LCW would take Olympic Gold anyway. Lin Dan will win it again, just that he'll be crushing some other guy this time. I don't think LCW could take losing to Lin Dan again in a big final. Quite pleased in a way that LCW is out of the Olympics.

    You're welcome :)
As predicted Tine delivered first point for DEN def. Sayaka Sato, 21-8 and 21-19. Much better fight from Sayaka at second game...

MAS will still be in the QF.
Likely opponents (if MAS finish 2nd in Group) are Den, China, Korea or Japan.
MAS may still have a chance to qualify for SF if they avoid meeting China in QF.

Although I couldn't watch LCW getting injured, I'm pretty sure that he will be on fire at the OG. Psychologically there's much less pressure on him now. He could always argue that the injuries during the preparation phase brought him down.

Right, those are tears of bitterness, not pain.

I am a great fan of both Lin Dan and Lee CW,and it's my greatest wish to see them play each other again in the London OG. Who knows, anything can still happen, let's hope for the best.:)

Unlucky LCW for so close playing Olympiade and get an injury . Without LCW it will be tough for Malaysia to reach SF. I do not think Malaysia second singles Darren can win against China, denmark, Korea and japan first singles.

With LCW play, they are guarantee 1 point from LCW except when playing LD. (45 : 55)
