WD : Group C should be INA and KOR as top 2. Hope Greys/Mel can top the group to get a better QF opponent. Group B can be any of the 4 teams, JPN pair is slight favourites only

Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei are in the same group with Adcock/Bankier

 Towi/Natsir are in death group of XD draw
    Laybourn/Juhl, LYD/HJE
    Gutta/Viju may also raise surprise

Meanwhile, Pederssen/Fischer have relatively easy draw

I think it is better to meet in group stage than knock out

agree that pedersen/jfn have a relatively easy draw, but group c and d is both so tricky imo

If Chris/Imogen beat Z/Z then Z/Z play the Danish pair which they struggle with

the problem is Fischer is almost 34, group matches are not good for him

Robert Mateusiak is older though (I think 36 already) and also in the same group.

Sometimes I feel BWF is rigging the group draw so ZZ will meet the GB pair again.

They have four times already in round 1 and now in the group stage.

    Another BWF controversy.

No need. One month's unpaid leave should be enough.

Yeah, and they put LD in a easier path to defend his gold medal.

Who says LD path is easier ? He has to face Taufik Hidayat in the Round 16. That is a 50/50 match.

Unless Taufik has nothing to hide/surprise at the age of 32.

Also, Chen Long's draw is actually the easiest if he plays his game right and not screw like last year.
He is fitter and faster than Boonsak. Boonsak is quite slow but his shots are still there. If he wins he will face Wong Wingki (that is really easy)
Sorry pcll99 :p. Followed by the winner between (Shon Wan Ho and Gade).
Chen Long looks good to reach his first semifinal of the Olympics. Whereas Lin Dan is not a sure thing. After overcoming Taufik Hidayat, the path to gold is a lot EASIER.
