Good riddance! The Olympic committee showing the BWF how it should be done. Now to top it off I'm hoping for some sort of ban from professional competition from the BWF (a year?) for unsportsmanlike behavior and bringing the sport into disgrace and disrepute, with significant fines to the national badminton associations of the associated countries. Hopefully this sets the precedent that if you screw around with the draw (walkovers, underhand tactics) you will get bitten. I can think of at least 10 times in the last year China has done this. A great leap forward for badminton!

Haha.. I am so so happy. IOC did good. Shame of BWF over the years. ;)

Will Lin Dan and Chen Jin match be super acting?

Politically, China can get rid of Li Yong Bo now for causing the team to loost a medal. ;)

They should fine the teams and force them to repay all the tickets that want to be refunded

Good one Lin Dan. Like you haven't "thrown" a match in the past. What a joke. Here's hoping Lee Chong Wei can win Olympic Gold and save badminton.

its slightly harsh on the Korean pair (vs Chinese), who after being threatened with a black card actually started playing in the second game (well enough to win anyway).

I think its more than a gold medal.............without YY/WXL, Chn still capable to grab the WD gold but the good name as a badminton super power house has ruined by match fixing scandals done by them !!

still appealing? These pairs should be disqualified with immediate effect without giving any chance for them to appeal. Shame on them.

I just hate it because it's inconsistent

What can really be considered 'trying hard' or not

In 2008 OG, nothing like this happened, China continued their foul play, Lin Dan's semi-final with Chen Jin was no different, no one was disqualified

Never before has this happened in badminton has it? Stuff like this and match fixing has been going on for so many years now, and to suddenly make such a decision, imo, is too big a step
