I think even LYB cannot believe it,he said two minimum while I thought 3 most likely, never expected 5 !
Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng totally deserve it though. came 2nd last time, and this time they finally took it.
Congratulations to Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng! Cheers to Mathias Boe, Cartsen Mogensen, Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong Dae for the great matches!!! Most likely we don't see 2 of the top 3 as a pair ever again.
the danes knocking out the koreans did China a favour. hehe, go china! Glad Cai and Fu finally got their gold... was sad they didn't win it in front of their countrymen back in 2008. redemption is never too late. love those guys!
the silver medalists are always the sad ones. the other two on the podium just won their matches. the silver medalists just lost.
slightly awkward as Cai/Fu wants to sit down on the podium for a photo, but they also don't want to block the olympics sign.
Congrats to Cai/Fu for winning their gold medal. Finally. Also for the danes pair who win a silver. They start slow and when they try to fight back, it just too late. Cai/Fu 100% focus tonight.
lol badminton isnt going to be popular in the US anytime soon. none of the channels aired the finals. and theres no indication that there will be a tape delayed showing of the game either. nothing on nbc, msnbc and bravo.... of course i watched it on nbcolympics site on my tablet lol.. and im so happy china won. truly made my day. im going to be cheerful the entire day today lol.
lin dan cares. he said in an interview that his goal was not gold, but to hopefully improve badminton's popularity and recognition especially in america. http://www.rediff.com/sports/report...not-driven-by-gold-medal-anymore/20120731.htm
