hi there , nobody seems to notice that carlton released new rackets (powerblade and new rasmussen)? perhaps most of us just looking for yonex rackets?? i got two newest carlton rackets on ebay POWERBLADE Tour just for 50 euro POWERBLADE Superlight just for 45 euro ================= THE FACTS ================= - The Powerblades are iso-formed. Carlton seems to hear to their customers because they hadn't any iso-formed rackets in recent years. - They are looking soooo cooool TOUR is painted in rusty-orange, looks powerful SUPERLIGHT in deep-red, looks offensive - Flexibility: Both midflex - Strings: Carlton Strings about 10 kg. // maximum=13kg (~29 lbs) - Balance Point: TOUR ca. 29,0 balanced SUPERLIGHT ca. 29,5 balanced, a little bit more head heavy - Both are very light 84-86g, the SUPERLIGHT is more lighter. but because of the headheavyness, the superlight seems to be more heavy. ========== END OF FACTS ============ I will review later, now I have to go to the gym

hello, i think my description was a little bit misunderstanding some correction: the superlight is not headheavy, but it is more headheavy than the tour. it's just a little bit, but you can feel it and you can measure it (balance-point). i think it can be said, that both rackets are balanced. and the flexiblitity is not midflex - sorry for my bad english - it is between stiff and flexible. perhaps the right term is midstiff ??? i don't know i tested them 3-4 times for many hours now and i like the superlight a little bit more than the tour. the tour has a really cool metal sound if i make clears or smashes. the superlight has another metall sound. too pity, the tour is not as powerful as the superlight (perhaps because of the headlightness of the tour ???). you have to use more efforts to clear the shuttle to the back. with the tour your reaction is a little bit faster, it's more a defensive racket i think. but with the superlight it's also easy to retour smashes !!! the retours can be executed very controlled, i'm very surprised. until now i had tested 4 other rackets and these carlton rackets are the best in control. a sportsfriend from berlin (who also got the carltons) told me to use BG65-strings and the control and power will be even more better !!!! if it is so, it will be amazing !!!! i'm looking forward to test this . can the specifications of the superlight be compared with an armortec 800 DE ??? they are nearly the same. Anyway ... i can really recommend the two rackets, especially if you can get them for 50,- euro !!!! i think the tour is more suited for double games. the superlight for both kind of games i have seen on photos that the powerblade superlight and the rasmussen superlight are used by the top double-players from england (robertson-clark, worldranking 11 and robertson-emms, worldranking 4) and by peter rasmussen. just for info ...
The Carlton rackets look like some Winex models, with the "big ISO" head. Yonex rackets look more like having the "small ISO" head. The word big vs small is refering to how "flat" the top of the head.

shoes As far as I can tell they are using Hi-tec shoes.. http://www.carltonsports.com is still down.. This sucks big time... Thanks a lot MinZen, I will ask my friend, who is going to visit me this new year, to bring a racket from Germany if there is not too much trouble. Hopefully I will test Powerblade superlite or tour next year and I am sure they will be great. I am a big Carlton fan. Yonex is just too expensive. Many thanks!!!
