Not sure what you mean, but if you're asking if they're participating the answer is no. Xia is representing China. It's only six players/pairs in each category, and the categories this year are MS, MD, MX. Thus no ladies singles or doubles.

    No, they won't be participating.

Copenhagen Masters is an invitational tournament and therefore only features MS, MD and MxD this year. No LS or LD.
And there is only 6 participants in each event I'm afraid.

The players in each event are split up into two groups with the winner of each group proceeding to the finals.

    Hi Mag,

Any chance you might have the order of the matches for the CM2004? My company is going in to work with TV2 and the production team to have this shown in Asia. But since they have only given me the finals, 29 Dec, timing at 1800-2100 GMT, that would mean Asia catches only the finals :crying: . Unless if I can get Asian broadcasters to change their mind :D

    Yes.
This year WS has been dropped in favor of MxD, because of Camilla Martins retirement.

Reading some other news I seem to have stumbled upon the lineup and groups.

MS will be split into one group with
Peter Gade, Wong Choong Hann and Taufik Hidayat
    and one group with
Kenneth Jonassen, Xia Xuanze and Lee Chong Wei

MD will be split into one group with
Jonas Rasmussen / Lars Paaske, Eng Hian / Flandy Limpele and Tan Bin Shen / Ong Soon Hock
    and one group with
Jens Eriksen / Martin Lundgaard Hansen, Sang Yang / Zheng Bo and Simon Archer / Robert Blair

MxD will only consist of one group with the 4 pairs I mentioned earlier. I guess the 2 best pairs will duke it out in the final. Not sure if they'll just pick the winner of the group as the overall winner though

if i remember correctly, the CM organizer don't hand pick whom to play in the CM. instead, they send an invitation to the national teams and ask the national teams to pick from their stable of players.

Just read from the newspaper that this week is the start of the Malaysian National Grand Prix Finals, involving those players who will be going to Copenhagen next week. A bit hectic, don't you think, even if you don't consider jet-lag.

No they won't meet in Copenhagen

The Copenhagen Masters is an invitational tournament. They only invite 6 singles and 6 pairs of double players for the tournament. They are divided into two groups who will play roundrobin. The winner of each group will play in the finals.

Peter Gade, Taufik and Wong CH are in one group, the other group consist of Xia xz, Kenneth Jonassen and Lee CW!

Predictions :) Of course, it is not a serious competition but I can still guess
    MS
Taufik from Group 1 (WCH washed up, Gade may not cope with in-form Taufik)
Lee CW from Group 2 (Xia washed up, Lee exact revenge on KJ)
    Taufik to win

    MD
JR/LP (Indons can't match Danes, Malaysians too inexperienced)
    JE/ML (two others not match)
    JE/ML to win
