Sorry to hear your working late on the boat but imagine once you progress past steam power out there it will translate into faster voyages. Good thing you specified Zymax 62 as I was a little concerned after reading caress and dressing up. ;):);)

Racket's are now strung and gripped. Took a good look at now and the silver against the black woven is very sharp

Agree, can't wait to try .:D

    I feel your pain.
It looks like your girlfriend's Christmas present is going to double up as a Valentine's day gift as well...

btw: In case anyone didn't notice, all Ashaway ZyMax strings apart from ZM62 are now available in BLACK, which should look pretty good on the Revelation (too bad I already bought black BG80 - I may yet have to buy some black ZM65 so I can do a head-to-head comparison).

I know. Never mind, I'm sure it's going to be worth the wait.

That black Zymax is certainly relevant to my interests. Wonder why it's not available in 62. I'm hoping in vain I prefer the 65 to the 62 when I test them to save my bank account some pain but we all know it's not going to happen. :D

Most people would sell all their rackets only *after* getting their new ones. ;)

Why's everybody going for black all of a sudden?:D.

Rackets have cleared customs - should be here tomorrow. Looks like I'll be parked at the machine all weekend...

@Mark - if you do happen to get some black ZM65 for AlpineRock / Randomlegend / anyone else, please could you pick me up a set too? (don't worry about it if not - it's not worth the effort)

    Sorry for double post, but...

Re: ZM62 - I'm not sure why it's not available in black, but I have two theories:

1.) It's just not possible to get a very dark and opaque colour in such a thin string (at least not without sacrificing durability, which is not great to begin with).

2.) Ashaway intend to discontinue ZM62 before too long. If you read the promotional info ( http://www.ashawayusa.com/NewZyMax65.php ), they basically say that ZM65 was intended to be a compromise between ZM62 and ZM67, but turned out to be more repulsive than ZM62 - which I'd have thought would make ZM62 obsolete.
This is also borne out in their brochure ( http://www.ashawayusa.com/StringBrochures/ZyMax62-65.pdf ) which has ZM65 rated more highly than ZM62 in durability, and exactly the same in all other categories.

Of course, this is nothing more than idle speculation...

Well, the surly Parceforce man has been and left me a box the size of a fat bloke's coffin, so it looks like we're in business. I'll check all the specs against my list and provided all is well, stringing will be done over the weekend and shipping will start on Monday.

Those who've paid just have to twiddle their thumbs. Those who haven't... I'm coming for you;).

Just thought I'd quickly mention that the DC Badminton website ( www.dcbadminton.net ), has been updated, and now lists the specs for the PrecisionPro and Revelation.

nb. You might need to clear your browser cache the first time you visit.

Not going to spoil the excitement of trying the racket by making up a review for those waiting.

    Simple say :D

taking , playing, and showing = ordering 4 more rackets

It being so purdy is an added bonus

Played again tonight with racket feels even better :D:D

Funny story was an exhibition of top players to get people out to the new club. Fellow broke a string
and his bag was on the other side of the gym. Since everyone watching and to save time since I know
him gave him mine. He played all his exhibition matches with it lol. Think that speaks of how well it is
put together. Even funnier was the glittering coming off the end cap in certain light condition. People
were going what is that. Reaction was cool from the young folks while older dudes were what's it coated with to do that.

Bad news my buddy after warming up trying my spare talked me into selling it. Had to think about it real hard but have more coming so said yes.

Very good reaction again from folks they thought the graphics were way better and really popped this time.

Looking forward to Fidget's actual review. Sure he has the community dictionary out and is going to
    kick butt. ;)
