Get rest buddies! Another interesting match coming up few hours later.... Sleep tight,, and pray before sleep... Tomorrow... get your popcorn and coffee ready, we cheer til we die again! hahaha
agree! i wish we can all gather (teleport?) in one place every time we have a big tournament, and we will scream and yell together.
you should paw them too!! glad I didn't paw for KKJ/KSR... I know it's quite risky one.. and lindaweni too..
INA and THA are the two big winner in this edition of AE. i plotted some graphs of the country distribution in QF and SF stages for 2012/2013. interesting trend? for QF, China dropped from 14 to 9 spots with most of the slack picked up by Indonesia. but the biggest improvement seems to be Thailand with 5 spots in 2013 vs zero in 2012. on the tail side, a few countries swapped spaces but didn't affect the diversity much. for SF, China dropped 3 spots and Korea dropped 2 spots. these got picked up by Thailand and Indonesia again.
Kwun - Group chat would be nice.. Coz I can't vid conference in the office anyway lol.. I am in Seattle btw same time zone as you I suppose.
uh oh.... do i sense another all england title for lee chong wei in the making ??? the path looks clear for him... and chen long does not look in good shape judging from his performance so far....
The schedule for SF is out : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...A59D61-4728-46BA-A9CD-1FB8AC4FDDB5&d=20130309
The QF saw another big upset for the Chinese. Their XD world number one pair of XC/MJ were knocked out by MR/DS of Indonesia in 3 games. The Thais and Indonesians have done rather well so far and they will have representations in the SF with the Thais participating in the MS, MD, and WS and the Indonesians in XD (3) and MD matches. Malaysian badminton is now lagging the Thais and this is quite disappointing and Malaysia cannot keep depending on LCW to carry the flag. Tine Baun did well to beat LF, the giant slayer of WYH and she and JOJ will represent Denmark in the SF. SN deserved her win over WSX despite the latter's gamesmanship in employing delaying tactics, etc. One case in point was when SN had to re-serve when WSX claimed she was not ready to receive SN's serve when obviously she was with her show of her left hand.
The WS semis tomorrow will be epic: Rat v Saina Janet v Tine BWF has put both matches on their TV schedule. Drooling already
