The best way to find out about it is to experiment yourself. At the end of the day, the best tension is the one that gives you the best confidence depending on your play preferences.
    Good luck.

Agree. If your coach knows your play well, that is the best way to go. And if he is a good coach, he will review his decisions about tension and eventually come up with the ideal tension for you. Good luck.

Unless your skill hasnt been improved through out the year, when first started everyone beging with 22-23 etc, as the time playing and improvment skill 24-26, you always want more from yourself and the racket, in time you will find yourself go for higher tension 26 +.

There again you can aford to buy a Ferrari, but it doesnt make you a racing driver, you might look like one, at the end of the day, you only can handle what you can.

I agreed with you that higher tension will make faster action and faster game.
    cheers

Do not agree that higher tension = faster action and faster game. It has much more to do with good anticipation and faster reaction time on the part of the player. Little or nothing to do with racket tension.

What I mean is as you get faster you need higher tension string to allow you play faster, at the end is down to the player capabilities the racket is just a tool. Cheers

Bg80 or bg80p @ 27lbs - perfect tension for me. Great blend of power and accuracy and still quite forgiving. I tried different tensions and strings over the last year: 22, 24, 25, 27, 28lbs - bg65, bg80, vs850. In the end I settled with 27.
The only problems is rapid loss of tension and relatively frequent snapping.

I don't know how to play below 27lb of tension. The ball just doesn't fly well below 27. I always go 27.5-29.

Hi there, the bg66 ultimate is design in high tension in mind to get the feel and sound, but if you are a bigginer and below 26lb, you wouldn't benefit from this string, you better off get say bg85, ng 95/98 a thicker string will do better job on lower tension, soon you will notice you have to move the string back and forward in low tension. Cheers

16 -28 lbs. 16 you prefer to block as the deflection will have more power , 28 for attack ,power is there control is better, like my nanospeed 100 is at 16, my ti10 is at 23 carbonex 10 and 15 at 28

Wow, that's an incredible variations of tensions. My rackets are strung at roughly same tension.

I change rackets depend on opponent so I have a balanced a defense and attack so I put at the best tension for them or at least most comfortable for me

It does I use different techniques with different attributes when using the rackets so I can be on defense with one attack with one and try to predict my opponent by testing with one

The tension u guy mention is very much depend on the stringing machine use. Those Taiwan machine have higher reading but low tension vs the yonex stringing machine. If u strung using Taiwan machine even at 29 I will say at around 24 at yonex machine.

Well a good stringer should calibrate their machine to give the right tension.
