I agree. Not everyone I play with wants to or likes to play feathers. And the ones that seem to consistently push feathers where I play can't seem to play beyond a beginner level!
However I always have a tube of feathers as well as Mavis 2000 just in case.

nothing wrong with playing with plastics or feathers.. this thread is not about this issue, and crappy feather shuttles are poop, i'll take a decent mavis 2000 or similar over lousy feather shuttles anytime.

How about we leave this to talk about the actual racquet? Pretty poor page of discussion.

    Thanks for the link.

Anyone want to summarise? I put it thru translator but it didn't make much sense.

But from the pics, we can see that due to the compact frame and shorter handle, the shaft is almost 1cm longer!

Played 3 hours(MD) with FEATHER birds last night, and the new girlfriend has moved in:D! Same review as my other one with the "lowly" plastic birdies, except the shots were crispier and louder. Smashes were better timed, and some were even nicely powered, and I loved every moment. The old girl(ZF) is moving out(storage) for now. So sometimes new is better. Ordering a couple of spares this week.

^ Have you ever played with 4u vtzf? If so, how do they compare?

I've always favored the 3U, 28#s with hard strings(BG80, 80P and 85). Tried 4U and found that too light.

^ Wow... you must have massive forearms. :p How much do you weigh and are you quite muscular, just out of curiosity and also to put into context your racket preference?

I'm not "The Rock", but your average Joe. Being a Yonex dealer/stringer, I have the some options most don't. My racquets are usually head heavy and stiff/extra stiff shaft. This ZS is the first headlight racquet I like. This thread's on ZS....

For £190 I'd want it to play for me, balls to that.

Yes, and that's why when we read other's racket reviews we have to understand what they normally prefer to play with, so that we can put that into proper context relative to a known racket entity.

If someone says whoa great at drives and smashes, but doesn't mention relative to any other rackets... then means nothing to anyone. (Not referring to you chilli btw :))

And btw this is not a headlight racket by any stretch. FB is headlight, this is definitely not.

So true..the ZS never felt headlight and the smaller frame was never an issue during play. It just felt like natural extension of the hand. The ZF was great as well, but the wrist did feel strained, when constantly lifting during a smashing drill. Didn't like the NR700 or 800, and the AS10,11 or FB didn't feel that good either. Liked the A900P and VT80 as well, but not the 70. BTW this is all personal.

I just got a few Z-speeds in and strung one up at 26lbs with black BG65. I swung it around and measured the balance pt......310mm

I had the opportunity to demo this new racket. All I can say is wow what a nice racket. It looks way better in person than it appears online. Since I can not compare it to any other recent rackets because I haven't played badminton in 10 years, I just started to pick this wonderful sport back up again. The racket I can compare to that I have experience is the Carbonex 20 Tour. The Z is head heavy but much lighter compare to the Carbonex. It doesn't take much to clear a birdie or smash. The flow when you swing it is crisp and easy. I'm contemplating if I should buy it. They were selling it for $249.
