Akane has only dropped a game in the first round against her teammate, Ayumi Mine. She won the rest of the match in 2 straight games!

She's definitely a different style to the others. Gains points by trying to hustle the opponent.

Dream on, With due respect to PJB, he can be the best coach but he couldn't stand a day with the politics in BAM. We'll see with the new management but barely few weeks, we have Rashid who says he couldnt stand it and resign.

Like I said, the arrogance of CBA dominance is like telling the spectators who paid good money to watch world class players competing, screw you, my selfish interest is more important than anything else. "WHy, bcoz i can afford to..." damn!

    It's a shame.

But you can't blame them. Both sides went through hell during the China's National Games.

Now she is the youngest winner of a super series. At 16years old and considering the high standard of ladies singles, that's amazing.

So Yamaguchi is the youngest SS winner at 16.

And she has finally broken Japan's overdue long wait for a Japan Open champion of their own!

Congrats to Yamaguchi and the Susi Susanti-serve style Uchida for creating Japan badminton history.

I'm sure we'll see more of this young badminton sensation for years to come. She is the shortest among the 3 prize winners at the podium. Unfortunately Japan's national anthem is not played.
