yes... ko/lee did well at start wining few tournamnts. even got the Korean Premier SS beating the danes boe/mog... but havnt really shone with what 'seemed. like negative body language on court btwn the too and not enough aggression like wen jjs played.
having said tht.. ko/lee ended off on a high winning their last tournmt togethr as a pair.. congrats to them.
too early to judge leeyoo as ppl said.. new pairing. weaknesses may not be exposed yet.
congrats for winning DO Premier SS.... but to lose to a mediocre malaysian pair this week.. hmmm...
only time will tell further results...
congrats LYD for a great year... no matter who his partner is :)

    A great year for LYD????

Remember LYD/KSH lost several times in a row to the reigning AE champion and World Champions + that upset by the Chinese-Taipei pair in the World Championships.

I would say that LYD has a good year, winning some SSP tourneys (as always), but unfortunately, when it comes to the major, he mostly fumbles big time! So far, his only major title in MD is the 2 All England titles in 2008 & 2012. I would regard him similar to LCW in this respect :)

His Olympic Gold Medal is in XD. And that's also the only major title he won in XD so far. I don't think he won many XD titles with Lee Hyo Jung.

LYD is a gifted MD player but the MD today is so competitive and this past year
Hendra, another supremely gifted player with the powerful Ahsan, have been
sensational with their fast, economical game.
LYD only bottles up when he meets the fat HTH, eversince his junior days.

Two Swiss Opens, 2 Korea Opens, 2 China Opens, one German Open, one Asian Championship, in addition to the Olympics. All that in 3.5 years. That's not too shabby, but no, they were never invincible or really even dominant. Hoon Thien How is one nemesis. Zheng Bo was another.

    Note - 2 Korea Opens (homeground) :p

I believe one of them involved the Final match against Flandy/Vita in 2008. That was full of controversy and the INA camp was quite upset by the linejudges' performance throughout the Final.

OK, so apart from the World Champs this year... in terms of Winning 2 SS Premier events, thats equivialent to 2 Major Grandslams in tennis, eg. wimbledon + US open? or something similar.

we are analysing LYD's career here, I just brought up this year hahah...

Im sure he's won enough OSIM massage chairs to open a shop lol....

hope lee/yoo do well for the rest of the year.

"Only" 1 OG. Lmao are u serious. That alone is already unlike lcw.

how many players right now in the top 6 who play dual disciplines (doubles and mixed) does not even have a gold around their neck in the 08 games. 12 is a wash already by chn so u only need to look there for the london games.

mxd and dbles require team effort, and the ability for them to concentrate in crucial points lacks a bit.

at least he doesnt gat as much 'injuries' as lcw wen he loses majors ;)

not to mention 2013 LYD won Badminton Asia Champs, and also runner-up in Indonesia Premier SS.

    so wasnt too bad afterall.....

Draw for China Open (last Premier SS is out) and Lee-Yoo play Setiawan-Ahsan FIRST ROUND!!!!

    good luck boys :D

What happened to Lee/Yoo in the French Open? They obviously lost, but what happened? There's no coverage of their matche(s) anywhere.
