i have n55 1st gen and also n90-II. All three rackets are very similar in terms of head-heaviness and stiffness. The n55-III is the most head-heavy of them all but not by much. My measurements show wet bp (strings and overgrip) of n55-III is 303mm, n55-I - 300mm. N90-II is being restrung so can't say now. When it's returned, i'll write a short review of all 3 rackets.
N55-III definitely plays very nicely, has a very fast swing, not tyring, the head-heaviness isn't really a burden. 1st gen feels sortta more bulk, larger head, thicker frame. But i like 1st gen too. Now I have what i wanted - 3 different rackets which feel and play rather similarly, so I can switch between them with no pain. N55-III feels like the most lively one, with a lot of feedback from the shaft, n90-II and n55-I have a bit more dampered feel. Doesn't bother me, although can be a question of one's preference.

    Nice pictures!

Would you say the N55-III has a flex shaft? Or more towards the stiff side of things?

no, it's rather stiff. The stiffest of the 3 i think, but again, not by much. I'd say its stiffness is on par with BSLYD. Just what you need, not too stiff to become a very demanding racket, but not too flexy.

Here's also a photo of a brochure that came with the racket. What's interesting is that the tension - up to 30 lbs. And while n55-III has a BP of 303mm (supposed to be dry bp, but that's what my measurements showed on wet BP), the n90-III has about the same BP of 302mm.
And if someone wants a bit faster and less head-heavy racket, then n50-III with BP of 298 might be quite a good choice.

HERE'S AN URGENT ENQUIRy targeted to all LI NING lovers. Amongst the new Third Gen, are there any rackets capable enough to match the BS LYD FOR speed??? Your prompt response is much anticipated. Thank You

I've never tried the BS LYD properly before (just a few rallies because I wasn't very keen on it) and I've only tried the N9 so based on that, I would say the N9 is smoother, faster and more powerful than BS LYD old version, don't know about new version nor the smaller details of comparison between the two. I wrote a review somewhere recently in this thread.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I am surprised of your take on the N9 in comparisons to the LYD. Would love to hear more. Basically, I am looking for something as fast as the BraveSword series. Looking for something mid stiff, even balanced/minimally head heavy. Basically I am on the lookout for the fastest third Generation or perhaps the fastest Li Ning N series racket to be precised. Keen on the N50iii or the N9 in particular.

What's the spec rating for N9

On a point of 1-5 Five being the stiffest, how is the N9, N50iii, N55 iii rated?

On a point of 1-5 Five being the head heaviest, how is the the N9, N50iii, N55 iii rated?

Thanks alot for your prompt response. Would love to hear more from other users. All feedback is greatly anticipated. I am yet to own a N series to date. I am quite skeptical in investing. Need assurance =D

    i'd go for n50-iii
n55-iii is considerably head-heavier. fast overall but not as fast as bslyd
n90-iii is a little head-heavier. same as above

Well I wrote a comparison between F9 and N9 on the page before in this thread and I wrote out some stats based on my experience with the two. As I said, N9 is the only 3rd gen Li Ning I've tried so I can't comment on the other 3rd gens. Sorry

I'd say a N80 would be your best best, although it's basically 2nd gen, not 3rd. If the N50III is anywhere near the first two generations it's gonna be much heavier than the LYD and a completely different racket overall.

I just know that N80 plays a lot different to BS LYD. N80 felt more solid during the short test period I had with it. It also feels less head heavy than BS LYD if by just holding it.

Does someone know how N50-III performs in comparison with the N60?
If I'm not mistaken Wang Yihan, Zhao Yunlei and Li Xuerui(?) are using it.
