I am also getting contacts from others wishing to visit our club. But they haven't made confirmation to attend yet.

We shall start our Booking List for Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 08-Jan-2014.

It's our 295th Wednesday Social Session at MSAC (after we have moved here permanently); and it's our 1st for 2014.

We do a Booking List:
(1) To welcome BadmintonCentral members to attend.
(2) To ensure that players who have booked in would not be turned away.
(3) To ensure that we have enough games for all players, it is best not to exceed 16 players.

Hope to have our 'Booking List' finalised by Tuesday 5:30pm (26 hours before). MSAC requires us to confirm our court-booking 24 hours before our session starts.

Reminder:
If you cannot attend, you will need to be removed before 7:30pm on Tuesday, otherwise you will be charged. Why? Because there are CCCers who are wishing to attend (checking to book in - up to the last hours) have often found themselves missing out after we have FULL HOUSE.

CCC Social Challenge Matches: Terms used and Schedule

For CCCers not having played with us for a long, long time, we shall post the info about our "CCC Social Challenge Matches"; the terms used and the schedule.

1. Terms used:

2. Schedule of our Matches:

2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List.

2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then inform chris-ccc.

2.3 Pairs with already 'arranged partnership' will commence their matches first.

2.4 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches.

2.5 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winning pairs and losing pairs awaiting to play in their next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled, when the 4 players enter onto the court, they may exchange partners if they wish (in other words, amongst the 4 winning players, or amongst the 4 losing players). If a winning player is to partner a losing player, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning pair or a losing pair).

2.6 The shuttlecock placed under the net (in the middle of the court) is for the next scheduled match.

2.7 Court No.10 is used for losing players' Challenge Matches.

2.8 Court No.11 is used for winning players' Challenge Matches.

Please Note: After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match.

Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 08-Jan-2014 (A short report)

* It's our 295th Wednesday Night Social Games Session at MSAC (after we have moved here permanently); and it's our 1st for this year.

* We thank CCCers for removing themselves when unable to attend (therefore allowing others to join in). As you know by now, if you have booked in and didn't show, you will be fined the session fee (because you have prevented others from taking your place). And MSAC charges our court fees if we cancel our courts within 24 hours before our session starts.

* We ended up with 18 players (including myself). Why? Hong-C, from London, England, surprisingly turned up to play; We couldn't say "no" and send her back to London.

* We thank CCCers for allowing pairs of already 'arranged partnership' to commence their matches first. Why? So that our schedule of matches can begin smoothly from Game No.1.

* Regarding our Summer Season (starting from 1st of December to the end of February), so far, CCCers who have done their renewals/applications are :

The suggestion is - Winning pairs are to wear caps (to indicate that they've won their last match).

Reminding CCCers that we have 6 requests

(1) Please pay for your session fee as soon as you arrive.
Why? So that I don't need to chase after players for your fees.

(2) Please bring correct change to our session.
Why? Sometimes 10 CCCers bring $50 each, causing me extra time to get change from the MSAC shop.

(3) Please put shuttlecock under the net (court centre) after your match.
Why? Because the next group of players need to know where to find the shuttlecock.

(3) Please tell us your partner, or for me to arrange a partner for you.
Why? It is best to be set-and-ready about partnership before we start our session.

(5) Please inform us if you could be arriving late.
Why? It is for your partner (and for all participants) to know what is happening.

(6) Please allow arranged partners to commence their matches first.
