As you know by now, if you have booked in and didn't show, you will be fined the session fee (because you have prevented others from taking your place). Great to find 8 CCCers still turning up to play. * Playing almost non-stop, many got very tired. Ben-B was so tired that he left at about 9:30pm. * It was a 'farewell night' to Clement-L, who is returning to Malaysia, and to Hong-C, who is returning to England. CCC Social Challenge Matches: Terms used and Schedule . For CCCers not having played with us for a long, long time, we shall post the info about our "CCC Social Challenge Matches"; the terms used and the schedule. 1. Terms used: 1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match. 1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches. 1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played. 2. Schedule of our Matches: 2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List. 2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then inform chris-ccc. 2.3 Pairs with already 'arranged partnership' will commence their matches first. 2.4 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches. 2.5 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winning pairs and losing pairs awaiting to play in their next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled, when the 4 players enter onto the court, they may exchange partners if they wish (in other words, amongst the 4 winning players, or amongst the 4 losing players). If a winning player is to partner a losing player, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning pair or a losing pair). 2.6 The shuttlecock placed under the net (in the middle of the court) is for the next scheduled match. 2.7 Court No.10 is used for losing players' Challenge Matches. 2.8 Court No.11 is used for winning players' Challenge Matches. Please Note: After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match. We welcome other suggestions to help run our CCC Social Challenge Matches more exciting and more efficiently. .

(2) Please bring correct change to our session. Why? Sometimes 10 CCCers bring $50 each, causing me extra time to get change from the MSAC shop. (3) Please put shuttlecock under the net (court centre) after your match. Why? Because the next group of players need to know where to find the shuttlecock. If fewer players can attend, we can reduce our courts booking. However, MSAC requires us to confirm our court-booking 24 hours before our session starts. As to how many courts are required for me to organise/book, this thread helps me to make the decision. .

Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 22-Jan-2014 (Reduced to half-size) . With only half the number of CCCers able to attend, I shall inform MSAC that we will only need half the number of our usual courts. We shall reduce our FULL HOUSE measure to a Maximum of 8 players. So, we now have only 2 vacancies available. And, we won't be playing our usual "CCC Social Challenge Matches".
