it's the other way around. JJS feels more solid than the 90

I received my MX-JJS this week. It feels amazing. Numb? No way... Pretty lively.
No strange metallic feeling like MX-70. Just by holding it, it feels light.
I need some sessions more before I can tell you how great this racket is. Just in advance: I really consider to buy a second one before all 3U JJS are gone...!

And yes. It's one of the most beautiful racket ever. It's not just plain orange. It's a metallic orange combined with black. Not just another racket design. A little bit fancy I would say

well.. I must say I've come a full 180 on the jjs. After using it extensively without switching to another racquet, and aided by my shoulder being nearly back to 100 percent... it's my favorite victor racquet so far.

yeah and it's a real dilemma now... either get a couple more of JJS from MBS while they still have em... or wait for MX-90 3U... but what if i get the mx-90 it will turn out to be not as good as the jjs? but still there's a possibility that it's even better... too many question marks, so difficult to decide

I now have 1x3u and 2x4u MX JJS. Between the 4u's there's over 4g difference in weight (gripped and strung identically). I much prefer the 3u out of the three. Power is much better and speed is more than adequate. The 4u's and in particular the lighter one, need to be worked hard to get the same output and there's no forgiveness to speak of.

I agree with your comments. My second demo JJS was a 4U G5 and it plays different to 3U. It's almost too light and doesn't have the beef that the original had.

The mxjjs i ordered is a 89g (dryweight) 4U , should i fear that it will be less beefier?

    Hi Paul,

Just got some tennis racket lead tape, ATP Tecnifibre - comes in 2g strips. Hope it will work to alter the weight/balance appropriately.

^ 2g is crazy much for badminton! Use Victor powerizer instead! It's purposely made for badminton and only 0.2g each, so it's easier to adjust head wt.

Me too. I'll test it next week. What bothers me is why I didn't think of it! I'm losing it guys.

Not sure if V Powerizer is fit for this particular purpose, strips are too light at 0.18g.
I'm trying to bring the 4u's to the same swing weight is the 3u. They both need 1.2-1.5g in the head to get a similar SW as the 3u. I'll cut the tape in smaller segments (0.5g+) and add them at 9 and 3 o'clock.
Last night I added 2x1g at these locations and the resulting SW was 43, BP 302, W 96.3 - which is too much for me. This was on the heavier of the two.

Put it on at 10 and 2 instead. 0.5g x2 should be right.

Just a quick update, I ended up opening my MX JJS. In order to compare with the MX90 myself. These are the specs of it thus far.

    MX JJS 4U/G5
Balance point: No string, cellophane or wrapping - 306mm
    Weight: 85.1g
