Lol chill people. No need to get confrontational. It's perfectly alright to want more reviews when you're still unsure if this is something you really want to spend money on. After all rackets aren't cheap especially high end ones.
Hi guys, I just received my newly string Jetspeed 8PS and MX90 Racket data 1. MX90 4UG5, newly strung Bg80 white (25lbs) 2. MX JJS 4UG5, Bg 80 white (25lbs, strung three months ago) 3. Jetspeed 8PS 3UG5, newly strung Bg80 black (26lbs) Both MX90 and MX JJS have similar weight (abt 95g) while Jetspeed 8PS would be between 96-98g. Tomorrow, I will play with all of them and then share with the rest of BC-ers on my thoughts later.
Awesome man! Look forward to reading your thoughts on it But why black BG80? hahaa why not white just for the sake of "consistency" XP
As I have mentioned earlier, my friend also got the same racket as me. I am afraid that we might taken each other racket's back home I will keep my comments until I am done trying them
Just a little update. I've decided I've lost my mind and gotten my 8PS strung at 29x31lbs XD My regular stringers were worried when I asked for 30x32lbs and I can't say I blame them so we decided to settle for 29x31 instead. Well there's no doubt that it's doable since I watched it get strung every step of the way. However from what I've seen as it was being strung I wouldn't really recommend anyone try to push this past 28x30 because I could see movement in the frame as it was being strung and I personally don't think the frame is as sturdy as the brave sword frame. I remember having a friend's BS 12 being strung at 30x32 and I didn't see as much movement in the frame as I did in the 8ST. From memory it isn't that big a difference between either racket but from experience with high tensions that small difference can mean a lot for the survivability of a racket. I'm going to have to be really careful with mishits and defending against channel attacks now just to be on the safe side x(
^ Wow... I'm still reluctant to cut my 2 wk old zm62 21x23 lbs. I'll give it one more session to see if I can adapt to the muted feel before deciding.
I can't do that, when I go on the courts to play, the last thing I want to think about is worrying about mishits because of tension. I don't string high but if I did, I think I would rather drop down then stick with a number and plan on being careful on the court. Good luck.
It might be worth trying a higher tension. I know with a few rackets I've found a bit soft, I've upped the tension 1-2lbs and its added some edge to the feel.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... need to add 1 lb next. Just that it seems a waste to cut perfectly good 2 wk old string.
That's how I felt when I decided to restring but then I realised I didn't have much of a choice. It had dropped to 25lbs and was getting seriously unplayable in terms of feel for me. My lower limit on tension is 27lbs so anything lower and the hold effect starts to really screw up my shots.
Wow, do people still use 850? I gave up on it ages ago. At high tensions it must drop pounds even faster than at my paltry 25lbs.
Actually I find that on high tensions it drops slower. I have been using it for years and from experience once you start stringing it at 29lbs and above it can maintain at 27 by the end of 3 months. Unfortunately o don't have hard data to back my claims up.
Well, I strung my rackets at the 25-26lbs range, so it would be still under the safe range... but movements at 28lbs is a uneasy indication that the frame is quite "soft".
