HKA is a more head-heavy one. Can't stop enjoying how good the racket looks. In my opinion, better than JJS. Not too flashy, but noticeable. Very classy and top-notch quality, each decal is very well defined and thought through. Without the plastic wrapping add 5mm to the BP: HKA: 301mm HKL: 296mm
Geez you guys can talk some rubbish. You can't make any assumptions about anything from outward appearances. I mean, typically diameter has more of an effect on the stiffness of a tube than it's wall thickness, but there's a point where two different diameters with different thicknesses AND walls have the same stiffness. Throw in the fact of different materials, different carbon matrices, and different effect on the racket structure as a whole, and you have a sizable bunch of variables to which you can make no real judgement just by looking at a racket or even taking one meaningless caliper reading.
If you cared to read my post, that is exactly the conclusion I made at the end. That you cannot tell how hard hitting a racket will be based on thickness etc, because we don't know the other variables. The example I gave being the VT80, which is much slimmer than either the MX90 or JJS and hits just as hard and feels comparably solid. I mean, if the VT80 or other rackets like the ZF, ZF2 etc are anything to go by, despite having a slimmer shaft, whilst theoretically more aerodynamic (less air resistance), it could have just as much carbon as a thicker Shaft, one that could very well have a less condensed structure or internals, thinner walls or whatever, as you rightly stated. It's all just guess work and fun to measure and ponder on.
Just wondering if have anyone face a similar issue with their MX90 or MX racket. I notice that there is a dent beneath the decal of my MX90 as indicated in photo. So far, I have not have any mis hit at that area but rather the top of the racket. Is this a sign of a racket getting cracked?
Bro Warlord86: Where you bought the MX 90, my MX90 don't seem to have this , if you suspect have problem , maybe you bring back to the shop where you buy the racket, and show it to him . Hopefully you can get back a new racket from him.
Recently, I have a MX80 that cracked somewhere around that region without any mishit. That's why I was kind of paranoid
Hey Bro, I did not get it from shop. Shall see how it goes. Recently, I am not very lucky with rackets
can anyone who bought an mx90 from Eric PM me the amount you paid? (eric seems really busy lately/slow to reply)
Has anyone ordered from mybadmintonstore.com before? Both my MX-JJS's I ordered from Eric, and I would normally order from him due to the excellent service, but I've been waiting for the MX-90 to come back in stock for a while now and no news.
