Hi All, Sorry to bring up this old threat. The stringer is using Apacs machine. His operating hour is from 12.30 pm to 730pm. Hope the information help. Cheer!
I am thinking of compiling a list of badminton stringers in Singapore, hopefully to gain some reviews from respective players who had done thier stringing with their stringers. Need help from everyone though. This compilation would greatly help those who are new in Singapore or would like to try out different stringers or find a stringer near them So, before I start, I have just sent my racquet to its first string job in Singapore at "10 & 10 Sports Trading". Headed over there during lunch time, so didn’t get to look at everything. The stringer is a young chap, nice and friendly. [Note: number below does not represent rankings, the first on list is not the best nor the worst. It is just a standard numbering and the shops I know that does stringing] 1. 10 & 10 Sports Trading @ Bras Basah Complex Details – Bras Basah Complex, #01-55 Opening hours - TBC Strings - Yonex, Li-Ning Short walk from Bras Basah MRT (<>5 mins) 2. Just realise i do not have permission to edit post....... Anyway, got my racket back yesterday night from 10&10 Sports Trading (Bras Basah Complex) strung by a young guy named Robin. BG66UM on 25lbs. Felt good once I got the feel of the racket, tension is there. Will be trying out other stringers in the future as I might giving victor rackets a try next year. ps: Robin mentioned he has a colleague that strings as well, currently on holiday. Wonder if the name of his colleageue is Batman. lol
I had my racket stung at 28/30lbs at Artic Sports (Mr Lim). It feels really good, control is great. String used is toalson bl6500
took my wife racket to let Alvin string at 23lb... use the next day.. feel shiok, nice sound.. will bring my Z next for him to string...
I wanted to let him string mine (Alvin Ng) but he wasnt available, told me he is preparing for a course and heading to China. Will only be back on 21st Dec, I am pretty sure my next racket stringing will be done by him.
Really a good n responsible stringer. He keeps a record of all rackets strung plus string bed tension which he measured using a small tester attached to the strung frame. I think he is the only stringer who does that. Thats not all! He also provides additional great services, to collect and deliver your racket personally at your preferred location. Most importantly is racket strung by him tends to have to that feel and control, and tension don't lose so quickly.
yea.. his service was good.. he is willing to share his knowledges, badminton or not.. unlike one other so-called "stringer" who was unwilling and "chop" me when i string and bought something from them.. he will really look thru and inspect the string and will do wat other stringer might not willing to do to return a good racket.. ** jus a note, i am in no way related to Alvin or whosoever.. jus giving my personal views...**
Was searching for info about the shop in new SBH but there seemed to be none. Anyway I just visited the shop and they provide stringing service BUT they only carry Li-ning strings. For reference, AP62+ @ $18 Let's keep this list alive. Adding on to the list and removing one which I think is no longer providing the stringing service as there was no reply from them.
Currently I string my racket at smashing max (Chew Xian) formerly from Li Ning Ion . She gave me a card, string on the 10th time is free. I think this is the only shop give card , and free stringing after 9 or 10 time string.
