We recently witnessed great rise of THA WS but I am afraid about their WD pairs...none of them playing their best infact they are constantly loosing day in day out getting weaker and weaker!! I really adore Sapsiree she is true fighter but because of inappropriate pairings she is not able to do well...Kor having a great Tim 3 top WD pairs...KEJ/KHN (my favs)are more than enough for anyone but China is always exceptional....!!!

Hopefully, Kento can reach the SF stage and not bow out earlier as he did at the Indonesian Open last week when he lost to a qualifier in the 1st round. I like his aggressive play at the TC tie when he knocked out DPY in three games. I reckon he will be winning SS tournaments shortly.

“I wouldn’t call that a warm-up match. That was more like a final!” remarked the relieved Indian. “[Overall] I’m feeling good, I’ve trained hard and prepared well for the current season. I can’t have a holiday after this because the Commonwealth Games is up next.” 20140625_1910_australianopen2014_yves7254.jpg

Saina v/s Thulasi will be a match I would have loved to watch live.
Will Saina prolong her run of decent performances?
Or will Thulasi find the next level of play she's been searching for?
    My money's on Thulasi! :D

R16 begins with Tommy moving on to the QF 21-16, 21-13 at the expense of Brice Leverdez.

So could we now say of Tommy,
    He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those buzzers and bells,
    Don't see lights a flashin'
    Plays by sense of smell.
    Always has a replay,
    'N' never tilts at all

There are 4 all-Japan matches in the R16.
The first one coming up now: Yui Hashimoto v/s Sayaka Takahashi

I figure it's a percentage thing. If she gets say, 40% of her serves nice and tight, then her court-craft can make up for the difference, easily. Besides, she's playing against that duffer KSH. She should be able to run him ragged. ;) :D

40% nice and tight? You're being very optimistic... I'd guess only around 10% max. :p

...and just like that, Sayaka T makes a (belated?) move, 12-16, now 12-18. Too little too late? There's always Game 2 and 3, Sayaka!
