Does anyone know why all the players are using black bags? I did see a small Li Ning logo on a Singaporean player's bag, so it's not a CG merchandise. So perhaps this is some sort of protest/boycott or even a respect to some sort of tragedy?
Yonex have supplied their sponsored players with black bags with their logo in black. Other players have to tape over the branding details. No advertising is permitted
i see. that does make sense. however, chris langridge and heather olver playing right this moment are using 'branded', colourful bags.
Maybe brands outside of Commonwealth countries then?! Dunno, Lango is Dunlop... which is technically UK based... But Heather is Babolat.... French.
Wow, its been a while! Some of the items were made by sponsors that weren't permitted and some official kit was made by sponsors that were permitted. The CWG like most events are governed by sponsorships and payments to get brands in front of crowds and TV. If the brand was official it can be shown, if it isn't it can't be and has to be taped over.
