There is only one version of SC6iEX (the lowcut), the danish webshop must've used the wrong picture ... The midcut is the japanese model "SHBSC6iW"
Excellent thanks for the clarification.....could you point me to where I can get hold of the midcut version.....China/Hong kong/ Japan is fine by me aslong as they ship to the uk?
ok shoes turned up today.....so took around 10 days to turn up. Very happy with them.....came well packaged, all tags still on the shoes. Very comfortable, definitely not as narrow as other yonex shoes, the high ankle support feels better aswell. They feel a lot lighter than my previous li ning hero mid cut shoes....
ha, I like the idea of them.....and I would definitely look at a similar lacing setup....but the colours are hideous.....victor have got a lot of nice colour schemes at the moment but I wanted a midcut ankle boot for support on a previous injury
Good to see you managed to get them . Any black laces provided? Perhaps put them on the scale and share the weight if you have a kitchen scale just for information's sake . Alternatively this would have been an option for you as well if you hadn't seen it before (kinda surprised the rrp is practically the same): http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/badshoes/power_cushion_wide_83_mid.html
No black laces provided unfortunately......there was an additional set of white laces but think I will keep with the yellow. I will put them on parents scales tonight and see what they weigh.....but I can guarantee that they are definitely lighter than my previous two sets of li ning mid cut boots. I did look at some of the other yonex mid cut but I wasn't fussed on many of the colours.....too tame....with delivery the cost was about £80
I tried many different models, but could not find something interesting yet. :crying: I need something wide with a good cushion. SHB-SC6 looks very interesting. I cannot try this model in real life, only buy online. There is an opportunity to buy SHB-SC6iEX in my country or SHBSC6iW in Japan (but with no return). Here is a real picture of SHBSC6iW Here is a real picture of SHB-SC6iEX From here http://bit.ly/1khYLdu The difference is the height of the ankle (one and two holes for a lace at the top). It is not so important for me, I'm more concerned about the width. Do they have the same width?
Width is fine, but the size 44 is too big for me. :crying: I tried many other yonex models - 43 were too small. 44 is too big =(
Yep, SHB-SC6iEX arrived today. Very good cushion and grip, they look very nice also, but too long. There is one strange thing - they are all different. some Yonex models size 43, I just could not put on the leg. Size 44 was ok, but they all were very narrow. That is why I like New Balance. They have always true size, I have never have any problems, just buy my size and it always perfect. But NB has no badminton shoes. =( I do not know what to do now. I would like to try size 43, but they sold out in my shop. By the way, what is the difference between SHB-SC6iEX and all these Lin Dan editions? Only color?
SHBSC6iEX - normal 3E cut (so I'm told) and normal ankle cut. SHBSC6iW - JP market only, wide 4E cut, and mid ankle cut. SC6iEX: SC6iW: For the Lin Dan LD versions: SHBSC6LD JP - 4E wide, MID ANKLE CUT. See ankle and number of top laces below (JP version): SHBSC6LDEX ALL COLORS - 3E, normal ankle cut. example: Mind numbing, I know. The hell is going on?!
lol. No idea, but as for the man LD himself, all I could find was normal cut yellow SC6LD at the 15' malaysia open, thereafter it seems as if he changed to the mid cut, maybe that's why the LD Exclusive II came with mid cut instead of the normal cuts....
For the SC6iEX and SC6 LD EX, both models have the "super comfort" cushion which is much better than the standard power cushion. The SC6 LD EX is not a "quattro fit" by the way.
The SC6 LD EX is not a "quattro fit" by the way. Do shoes without "quattro fit" feel smaller? Maybe what is why all Yonex shoes size 43 were too small, but 44 with "quattro fit" were too big?
I have the JP version of the sc6iw, black and red pair and they are all mid cut and wide feet. I tried the SHBSC6LDEX and it feels a lot more narrow then the JP counter parts. I have a few friends that bought the EX version and they do not like it
Was just gonna add on to something I found... live pictures of the yellow/black SC6LD are actually mid cut, compared to the press pics which show normal cut. Yeesh.
