Look at how both players, all are indeed very thirsty for an SS title, yet they still exchanged very warm gestures at the end of the match, incl. the defeated one! :)

It's never easy to 'kill' WSX with smashes, however ferocious.

After witnessing what WSX did to Saina yesterday, particularly in the 3rd set, I'm forced to look at WSX differently from then on.

The French crowd were much entertained by the great and dramatic match, they indeed cheered for both players and the match itself. Those who watched could witness the spectators gave applauses to those great exchanges... from both sides :)

LXR playing a controlled game, not her usual aggressive attacking badminton.

It is disgusting. LXR is not giving her best. I know it may primarily be because you don't get any advantage for Olympic qualification since it is not a foreign player, but personally I want HER to WIN! And TRY her 90% at least, if not 100% to avoid any injury.

WZM made a huge mistake allowing CTC to come back in the match, he dug his own grave in the end. Not sure how WZM will take it, depend on his mental make-up and character.

As usual, the winner of this WS final is confirmed.
Time for a rest and decide later whether to continue to watch badminton or Man Utd vs Chelsea.

LXR is well aware of WSX's retrieving ability and court coverage, that's why she has to bide her time to attack. What's more, LXR is somewhat drained.

Back level, LXR showing she too can be a stroke player when needed to due to fitness concerns.

You see, when LXR smashes, WSX is ready for it.

Have a break. Have a kit kat.
You are getting too worked up with these CHN girls playing among themselves.
They play for the nation, therefore it doesn't matter who wins.

LXR not ready for a grueling match, not worth pushing herself so hard and risk injury. I think LXR is mentally and physically tired.

Nah! LXR isn't trying. She doesn't even seem much interested any ways. It is frustrating. Seriously ...
The way she is playing, obviously the crowd can sense it, and they will be wondering if the match is fixed, which they can if you see a match like this. Of course here we know, that LXR isn't trying perhaps because it will not be of that marginal utility maybe.

    I am just shocked!

    This is seriously infuriating.

In all fairness, LXR doesn't try much. And this doesn't bode well for fans, their loyalty and the general image of Chinese Badminton.

Obviously, WSX is prepared for a hard battle and ready to grind LXR down. I believe LXR sensed it after a while and decided enough is enough.
