Change of ends. There was a worse side with the shuttle floating a bit. The hall is about 1/4 full which is pretty good for qualifying rounds.

Was it about drift in stadium Cheung to force Akane hard to control the shuttlecock in game 2?

Definitely some mistiming happened. Yulia Yosephine did play better badminton to give her some credit.

No but some of the officials have a cold so perhaps sneezing at an impromptu moment? :)

Chen Long loses in the early rounds. Ajay has a warm up match getting used to the conditions and is up to speed. Ajay has a chance!

Just noticed that WSX, the 1st seed will face Liu Xin in the 2nd round if both won their matches against Eriko and Michelle Li respectively.

Even I am rooting for young VA..
    nothing is going KT"s way..
    Draws..his strategy..rankings...nothing..
Whereas VA has shown good signs lately he is also one of the contenders battling for a place in SSF...he will really show his best tomorrow moreover the recently concluded one Sider KT vs PK with all +ve things VA is indeed having bright chances to impose an early upset in this concluding SS

Akane Y progresses to R16 with minimum fuss. This young lady is slated for great things, surely.

It will be interesting to see how Carolina Marin does here. She's been back in competition for a while now, so the rust should have worn off.

I would love to see her at her best again; she`s feisty and intelligent, and brings that edge of uncertainty that makes a match so much more fun.
