CHN young WD, Ou DN/Yu XH is too strong for KOR combo Eom HW/Yoo HW, 21-12 and poor scoreline in game 2, 21-5.

Great to see Danny & Chayut (2) beating Wang Yilv & Zhang Wen (5) in straight games 22-20, 21-18.

But the two teammates will have to face each other later in XD with their respective partners, Vanessa and Shinta. On paper Danny & Vanessa should beat the relatively new pair of Chayut & Shinta.

Yeah, good job, Danny/Chayut, beating Wang Yilv/Zhang Wen, the Bitburger Champ, in two straight sets is commendable.

Is EOM suffering from a back injury?

I thought she is... judging from her match against Z/Z a days ago.

Could be, no matter how good Ou DN/Yu XH are, there's no way they can overwhelm the KOR pair that has Eom HW in it.

I'm afraid Han Li has reached a plateau, has been for quite some time, and she's wanting in perseverance and consistency. I'd rather see He BJ play Sindhu instead.

Sindhu won it. But still I consider her as immature. She had 5 point gap in the second game but just let that to slip away?.. she should have finished the natch in straight instead she dragged it to 3 and then won it... Hope she realises her mistakes in the future and wont make it again..

Good to know that Xue Song on both occasions in G1 and G2 when holding gamepoints and matchpoints respectively at 20-18 did not lose his bearings and was able to handle the crucial moments and steer himself to victory by the identical score of 21-19 versus Rajiv Ouseph.

In my opinion, Rajiv on his day is a tough nut to crack, esp when I call to mind how he often pushed Chen Long hard. For Xue Song to have successfully dealt with such a mature, experienced player as Rajiv can only stand him in good stead.

Michelle Li seems out of form lately, this time eliminated by Busanan O.

The Axiata Cup is in progress, thus clashing with the Macau Open.

SIN is playing PHI, but is leading 3-nil, now playing the last XD match.

SIN struggled in the just concluded MD, both games went to deuce. With our senior players involved in this Macau Open, and at least 3 of them to appear in tomorrow's SF, SIN will not have it as easy against much stronger teams.

I think two teams are new, the Asia All-Stars and the Europe All-Stars and they have very good players too. Altogether 8 teams are participating in this lucrative US$1 million tournament. But, CHN, JPN, KOR, TPE & IND have not entered any team.

Surprising, live TV telecast is available.

Ricky/Angga is much more impressive than Berry/Ryan in my opinion

Surprise, Zhang Beiwen kicked out by a young KOR hopeful, Kim Hyo Min in a 1hr 3 mins 3-setter according to livescore. Can Kim HM's remarkable run continue when she's up against Sun Yu tomorrow?

And tomorrow Busanan has a chance to avenge her previous defeat to Sindhu at the HK Open SS.

Tai Tzu Ying of TPE and Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy of IND are part of the Asia All-Stars Team. Here's the link of the Axiata Cup thread - http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/149204-Axiata-cup-2014

Even coach eng-hian dissapointed with this result. He say that suci/tiara's problem is a nontechnical problem non technical,
He also said that there will be rotation in wd department in mas gpg n india gpg next year...cant wait to see the new wd combination...

angga/ricky should win the title, coz if they cant win , its a prove that they not good enough to backup hendra/ahsan in higher level, such in ss/ssp tourney

Vincent Wong doing fine, taking out Marc Zwiebler in two sets, albeit narrowly in the 1st, 23-21, and in the 2nd, 21-13, decisively.
