To me the stiffness ratings are in order of TK9000, 8PS and NR900. The 900 and 8PS are pretty close though except that the head weight difference is the definitive point.

Haha. Thanks, but not at this time. I am finally starting to get use to it. It is steadily moving up my lineup in terms of power. The bad thing is that it is a beast to move around, so no double moves for me.

It does, however, want to smash the birdie down in a very steep angle which is unique in all my rackets. I need to learn to take advantage of this trait so I am going continue playing with it (Maybe more stick smashes...).

If you do see a deal out there I suggest you take a look at a 4U instead because as I wrote before, the 3U is tough to move around (at least for me, I get slaughtered in a drive contest).

Haha. Good to hear you're getting used to it.
Read through the whole thread but forgot if this was talked about. Can anyone compare the tk9000 to the li-Ning N90 1st gen?

Nailing the right weight depends on how much stamina, strength n technique u possess.

Initially started with mid 4u (82.4g). It took some time to adjust after building up strength. Then venture into 3u territory of 86.1g (current mainstay) n 88.3g. The latter is a beast to tame but oh, what a smasher!!

I agree it could take an adjustment period to be able to fully appreciate it. I am starting to access the power potential, but it's going to take a while for this to be a decent defender. But then again, it's designed to be an offensive racket. As long as I stay at the back, I should be okay during matches.

I am waiting for my 160 grams training racket to arrive. Hopefully after training with it, I can better use this.

Thanks for the tip, but I saw those videos. While I think they have merit, but perhaps do to my weight lifting background, I prefer training with weights and heavier equipment, but that's just me.

For what it's worth, I've also been trying to train court movement with a 40 lb vest (very very slowly). So far I find moving around much more effortless.

If ever there is a suitable term for it, would call it "badmtn commando"...

Happens to any kind of sticker in that place especially if you grip up the cone with adhesive backing. It happened to my BS12 as well. Has happened to every yonex and li ning racket I've ever tried too.

One of my thrusters started to squeak. I had recently put another grip on and finished with electrical tape. I thought maybe the tape/grips are rubbing slightly and making the noise  It annoyed me too much and would distract me mid-rally so I unwound layer by layer trying to find the culprit...

I got down to bare wood and still the squeak could be heard :( removing the butt cap released some pressure and made the culprit obvious...

cracked handle, both 'big' sides split right up the middle :(:(:(

anyhoo... if I want to keep the racket pretty is there anyway to get a nice replacement cone?

The K9000 is an odd one because of that long handle, so even if you could find a cone as a spare - and I have absolutely no idea where you would, I'm afraid - an off-the-shelf MBS-style handle would be took short.

I did consider swapping all of mine for "true" G5 (i.e. the Yonex G5), but there was no way to get handles.
