Of course! Repulsion mostly goes to thinner strings, but so does a higher stringbed frequency. 69F is special in that it has a higher stringbed frequency than 67 at the same tension, but it does not necessarily perform better, which is more characteristic of a thicker string. So, although the frequency of 69F is higher, the performance of 67 is still better.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/10-x-Ashaway...nton-racket-racquet-string-BULK-/141623556466 RKEP price seems decent. C $58.09 for a 10 pack + C $7.59 shipping = $65.68. Visor - how much did you get a pack for again?
Thats a very good price... I am gonna see if Eric can get me reels or 50 packs LOL. I hate the Canadian dollar... so low
So I finally received some Zymax 66 Fire in the mail today and I plan to restring one of my rackets tomorrow. My favorite setup so far has been the red non-Fire version of the Zymax 62 at 24lbs, should I string the new Zymax 66 Fire at the same tension or should I go with 25lbs to get the same feel? I know the gauge is different but I've also read somewhere that the new Fire strings are much stiffer.
I went with 26 lbs. (25x27) since I recently realized how awesome NBG98 is at 25x27. I have to say ZM66FP feels pretty soft at least against my palm compared to NBG98. Will try it tomorrow. Can't wait! Also NBG98 really started to deliver after about 3 hours of play. Will try to give this ZM a chance lol. And I've noticed my AT900T dampens the impact quite a bit, I've decided to stop using my AT900T as a test racket. My new go-to is the BS10 with NBG98 =D Should have bought more BS10s sigh.
I've been able to test 69F. It's holding up, but from what I have heard, it is very difficult to break. (its durability is much better than Yonex's strings)
I'm sure that's Dinkalot's setup. As long as you hit the centre, it's nice and crispy, but it'll be history at the first hard mishit...
Do you have any update with your findings? I am planning to use either ZM62F or ZM66FP to replace my NBG98.
