i watched the game on web..............its like Lin Dan saying....i give you 80% of me if you can finish me off in 2...........if not, you'll have to take game 3 from me
Great persistence shown by Lin Dan to beat a stubborn THW in three games. I was thinking after G1 Lin Dan was maybe going to lose but he made me eat my words. I will be cheering for him tomorrow also
Okay summary of the countries that will be playing in tomorrow's semifinal. 1. China (11 players) 2. Denmark (2 players) 3. Indonesia (2 players) 4. Korea (2 players) 5. Spain (1 player) 6; India (1 player) 7. Chinese Taipei (1 player) Yes as usual there will be lots of exciting matches to watch tomorrow and as usual I will be there to watch all the matches live.
Okuhara played AMAZING today. I was there to see it and very very close to their court. Okuhara was the one whom the crowd cheered for and she gave us a bow in the end. She was tearing, sad to see her lose. BTW, anyone was at the stadium know where our commentators are sitting?
Hats off to the colour commentator today, Ian Wright? He was informative and insightful. We need him in the broadcast booth.
Have not logged in ages hah . Anyway, I was in the stadium the wholeee day today. KSH/KHN against ZN/ZYL was quite enjoyable. Crowds applauding whenever KSH leaps in the air to jump smash. Okuhara's match against WSX was just amazing! 1 hour and 51 minutes, oh gosh. I was rooting for Okuhara but sadly she was 'so close yet so far'. Such a match like this should be televised instead! Lin Dan, yep. Even before him making his appearance to the court, the crowds were already roaring out his name. However, the crowd went silent minutes after the 1st set started. Reason being Lin Dan was quickly down in the score. After the 1st set, some of the crowd actually left (it continued throughout the game) In the 2nd set, Lin Dan played better but still not convincing enough. However in the rubber set, Lin Dan did prove that he still has it in him by playing much more aggresively. A picture of me with SWH and SJH though they're not looking at the camera's direction
Did you snap this pic after the match? The picture says it all.. obviously disappointment and sadness all over this little girl from Japan, who leads 18-15 in the 3rd game. Both wang shi xian and nozomi okuhara played their best throughout the match and to me, both are winners. However, sports can be cruel at times. There can only be a winner. I'm sure Nozomi Okuhara will come back stronger than ever after this. GAMBATEH! Photo credits to BWF badminton fb page. CMIIM, this would most likely be the longest match in WS ever played since the 21 points scoring system were introduced. 1 hour 51 minutes! goosh..
The face says it all for both the players, there would be winners and losers but these are the kind of matches everyone wants. Okuhara you did a great job, more than whats expected, you did well, dont lose hope, gather up urself you were just a whisker away, the time for you to be on the other side shall come. WSX what a fantastic fighter you are, heart goes out to you for being in the sideline, this is your time, go grab it and dont let anyone take it away from you this time, no matter how much of shadows are cast over you, you shall shine, good work, congratulations still remember tomorrow shall be another day, gear up and prove that you are the best CHN WS has to offer.
Amazing match! My heart goes out to Okuhara as well as WSX - after a near 2hr rubber, WSX is not going to get past Carolina.
The picture is not mine. I'm just reposting it. I couln't find out who took the picture so credit to him/her for this picture. Sorry for the confusion I caused for not including the credit.
