^ NBG 95? If you don't like the JS 10, it's not the racket's fault... ;)

... I use NBG 95 on my JS10 ... the feel and durability are good, though in the back of my mind I have been wondering if a different string would complement the racket better. Any suggestions?

Let's see. VS850. BG80. VS800. Infinitely better strings than NBG95. Way better control, feel and power as well.

If you think the feel of N95 is good, you're in for a big surprise when you try VS-850:D.

Got a few swings with the JS10 in today for warm up. Using BG80 @ 22lbs, mind you I'm playing with plastics (blame the system). I preferred the head shape of the jetspeeds to the braveswords, a bit slower but it feels more solid. Clears and drops seemed to work better with less arm and more wrist, same could be said for the smash. Drives felt more peculiar, the racket seemed to have a dampened feeling, not a bad thing though it is something to get used to for me. The drives themselves were fine.

I would have wanted to use more of this racket today, but didn't want to risk points to get used to it as there was a tournament to be played. Will update more after Friday.

I have tried the VS-850 before, just the one time when I first got my BS10. While the repulsion was very good, the tension loss was pretty alarming. I'd prefer not to play with strings whose properties change that much within a matter of weeks.

VS850 changes in a matter of DAYS but it works out fine if you do play high tensions

Used VS850 @26 lbs in the past. Feelings were muted after just two wks of 8 hrs of game. It was great while it lasts...

That's not what I'd personally call high hahaha. It works for me for 3 months strung at 30/31lbs before the tension loss due to usage over that period of time makes it unbearable.

Indeed I should give 850 a go in this but I haven't any in stock sadly.

IMO VS850 is only a string to go when you are a stringer or get it for cheap. Maybe I'm a bit fussy. VS850 is only for me 2 weeks playable. I lose it magic really quickly even at around 30lbs and a bit above. Heard 890 should be worse but did it not try yet. Can you give a short comparison? Ch1k0

No chance of 890 yet. Planning to get a JS Bao next month done up with it though. But from initial impressions of 890 so far are far more positive. Retains tension well initially and has a harder feel.

VS890 is far better at retaining tension than VS850. It is one of the best I've tried when it comes to keeping tension. However it doesn't have the feel that the original VS850 had.

But does the feel retain well? If it does then it's IMO a darn fair trade for the laxk of tension loss.

As you know, the feel is not as good as VS850, but VS890 does retain the feel it has reasonably well. I've been playing with it for about 1-2 months now, and the feel is only a fraction less than fresh. Tension has dropped very slightly, but it isn't really noticeable during play unlike VS850. So despite the lesser feel, I do prefer it over VS850.

EDIT: Oh and to keep on topic......... JS10 is on order. ;)

Since we're on Victor strings, how about VS800? Seems like many KOR players are starting to use this.

2nd gen is better than the first. Bang for buck string really. Haven't been using it lately though I confess because it was hot weather and BG80 wasn't snapping.
