this is from the Li-Ning perspective and shows a lot of the Li-Ning process. quite interesting and shows more details than other videos that i have seen.

    in Mandarin only.

Wow! Didn't know making rackets and shuttles are so labour intensive!

Thanks for the video, I have always wondered how they did a speed grade on shuttles.

    Neither did I.

And I think all players should watch this video.

It will helps to show a little more appreciation for all rackets especially now it is clearer that how much labour goes into making one racket even though they have machinery to help!

I have to say when they were testing how much kg's of pressure it took to break the rackets, I winced every time because it was a waste of a racket =(. But then again it's not exactly a "waste" because it lets them know how strong the rackets are and precisely how much it takes to break a racket, which equates to how much tension the rackets can take when strung. The shuttles thing is not new to me because this isn't the first video that goes into shuttle manufacturing. In fact I don't think the video actually does shuttle production enough justice because another video goes into great detail of every step of the way to make a shuttle. And to think that those shuttles can be broken within one hit, it really sucks =( (hence why I wish sometime within 10 years we can get something the world will accept as comparable to shuttles in the plastic shuttle business).

Pretty sad how Li Ning keeps on dishing dirt on Yonex to one-up them...

haha. i noticed that too. they had to play that clip twice to show how LD broke his YY racket...

but despite that, kudos to LN for letting people see their process. YY is much more secretive.

haha kwun i think i counted that clip more than just twice :p sure they let us see what's inside, but really nothing extra special in my opinion...i wonder why they didn't show us the part of the process where they put in all the nano magic which allows them to sell their products at ridiculous prices :p

hmm.. I don't know that making a racket could be such a labour intensive like this
IMO most of them could be done by machine
by looking at how labour intensive it is, it irked me, how much human error they could make
the sticker, the base paint, all by human
    for the paint, very unhealthy

also, how could that person know whether it is 79 and 77? and why some of them they throw some of them not?
is that by their own judgement? is there any other method to test speed of each shuttle?

    Avenger,

I think the speed is determine by how far the shuttle flys when fired out of their testing machine.

the human are there to visually filter out the shuttle that flies irregularly. otherwise, they are left alone and binned according to their speed.

not a very interesting job, i must say.

The Yonex bashing was a bit amateurish. Doesn't really make me want to buy a LiNing though.....nor have a job making shuttles or rackets!
