What about the feel? It's labeled as "soft", but Victor's "stiff" is also different compared to other brands. Is it close to the horrible BG65 feel?
Nah. They call it soft but in reality it is closer to medium. I would even go as far as calling it medium with VS850 being medium-hard and BG80 being hard
Anyone know if the 3U version of this racket exists among the professionals? EDIT: what about this?: http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25_26_208&products_id=2180 How is this racket related to the JS10? It comes in 3U! The Victor racket industry is getting more and more confusing!
Which is really strange whatever way you look at it. That's why I added the question of the "JetSpeed S Ahmad T", which does come in 3U. Anyone know if this racket is simply a 3U JS 10? And has anyone reviewed this "JetSpeed S Ahmad T"? Eric is selling it.
It most certainly isn't. It has a larger "normal" sized head along with a shorter shaft and longer handle.
Thanks for the information. My current "go to" racket is the 3U MX80 (first gen). I dislike 4U in general - way too light. I've tested 3U and 4U VT-ZFI, VT-ZFII, and TK9000, and have always preferred the heavier 3U versions. So basically there's just no way I'll be purchasing a 4U JS10. Hopefully a racket similar to the original MX80 comes out soon in a 3U version. I'd like a back-up to my MX80 - I should have bought at least two of these when they were still available!
Get a 4u version, and tape up the head. BOOYAH, you've got a 3u version! So is this the only one of the new Victors with a smaller head?
Its more similar to BG70 in terms of feeling, so medium feeling string. But it retains it tension way better.
If you're comparing 4U to 4U, then JS10 is head heavier, slightly flexier, surprisingly fast, and definitely more powerful.
I have no idea why, but when I was using this racket yesterday I was consistently able to do very very late clears with relative ease. Usually I mishit or slice the bird, so I'm not sure if its the racket being good or just me improving. And the flex on the js10 is great for doubles. Mid court smashes and interceptions zip past the net.
Now that the dust has settled... To ex-TK9ooo owners... u know who u r... { *.^} whats the comparison in terms of power, between TK-9k n JS-10, in particular smashing from the rear court?
