I normally remove the original grip from my rackets and add just a overgrip over the wood - normally with G4 grips. Since grip handles got smaller (G5) I struggle a bit, since it's a complete different feeling.
Yeah just an over grip on the wood is too small for me, I use the Karakal grip without much overlap which is perfect for me.
Been using mine for over a week now. Gotta say they do feel like an upgrade from my BS10s. Easy power on the quick smash and backhand clear, gotta be careful on the power smash as the head really brings the angle down into the net sometimes.
Crap... I think I'll have to up my tension by another lb... which will be 2 lbs more than my usual ZM62 @23x24 lbs ... It's so fast that I keep hitting my clears and defensive drives out...
Nice. I'm just loving the effortless power this brings. But if I keep using it I'm going to be in trouble with stringing costs I'm real tempted to push my tension up a lb because of this racket. The smaller head makes it feel tighter than it is and I really like that feeling.
I'm not doing too well with this racket compared to my to go bs12. My defence drop so much because it requires a lot more focus and it is less forgiving. My smash is not as powerful either. Maybe I'm doing something wrong lol the only thing this racket gives me are crazy drives.
Well... It's the player that ultimately does the hitting... so user error? It is vastly different from the BS12 afterall...especially if you got the 4U...
Its really not u but the racket... If the reviews r anything to go by, I concur with visor. The difference in BP alone between the two is a staggering 10mm. To me, that requires quite an adjustment if one is not used to a head heavy racket...
Thank you! Now i dont feel as bad for sucking so much with js10. I guess it take a lot more time to get used to compared to other even balance racket. Gotta find a way to generate power for smashes too.
Lol... yeah, those two rackets are practically on diametrically opposite ends of the spectrum of stiffness and head heaviness...
Just used one of my JS10 for the first time and it's awesome! Almost on par with my BS LHI for speed but way more power and steeper angles! My JS8PS is good, the JS Natsir felt really good on its first outing but the JS10 was on another level! Very happy boy! Thanks Ben and Eric for the JS rackets, my BS LHI rackets may be in the bag a bit more now. Can't wait for next Sunday for the next session.
