I never overgrip my rackets. Two relatively new Victor rackets I have, a Bravesword LYD and Jetspeed 10 have great feeling base grips, but they both came loose from the wooden handle. I'd like to not replace them with a new base grip as the grip itself still feel new, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with gluing the base grip back onto the wood. Is there a special type of glue? If not, which glue would you use and why? Help please, I'm not ready to give up the base grip on these Victors.
Just any kind of semi permanent super glue will work, you can then use them further and then replace once the grip wears away over time. Phandrew, as I said in my original post, I like the original grip and don't want to switch to a different one. Yours is obviously the easier solution, but I'm asking within the confines of my criterion. With that being said, do you or anyone else have glue recommendations?
Don't use superglue though, the glue will be absorbed into the grip fabric and turn it hard. I would use something like impact glue or simply try strong double sided tape - if I had to keep the original grip. But I would prefer to replace them tbh.
Oddly, the factory grip of the Jetspeed rackets are very good. The have a very good grip and they are thin. I haven't seen any replacement grip close to them.
