Hi all, I'm am wearing a size 26.6cm on a Mizuno Wave Twister 2, I'm about to purchase this online but there isn't a local shop for me to try the size

Is it wise to order the same size for the Wave Fang RV? Thanks in advance, cheers :)

Can you guys verify this? I had used this shoe for only a month (12 hours + / week) playing double and there is no grip left.

This shoe is super grippy in the beginning than A920 and 9100 but now the grip is basically non-existent. I had tried to clean the outsole with soap and warm water but it wouldn't revive the grips.

One thing that I did notice is that the shoe is very flexible which I really liked.

    Dink will chime in:

+The Wave Fang RX is way, way better looking in person. The pictures do not do the shoe justice at all. In fact, Dink thinks the RXs are one of the nicest looking badminton shoes around.

+These shoes do not come in Dink's size so Dink cannot comment on the performance but Dink knows 1 advanced player and 1 pro, both have tried the current top Yonex and Victor shoes and they both said the Mizuno Wave Fang RX is the best, hands down.

Nope, only Unisys players use Mizuno. (Unisys X Mizuno) I believe it's a club sponsorship deal or something.

Others like NTT East (Momota, Tago) and Tonami (Hashimoto,Kamura) use Yonex, albeit in a custom colorway or other customs.

    So by what you're saying...

Should we be buying about a half size up?
Or will ordering our normal size be fine?

    1cm seems a little tight yes/no?

I spoke to shop owners in Japan, and majority are telling me, whatever inventory remaining at shops for the Black (dominant)/white/red version is no longer being produced.

Only the White (dominant)/black/red version is still in production.

Oh, and to answer my own question above from about a month or two ago...

I had to buy about a half size up for better comfort/fit.
But only because my feet are strangely sized. :p

    Your mileage may vary.

    Question 1.
It depends on your preference. I have a wide toes and a half size larger works for me to avoid blisters. It does feel uncomfortable during the break in period but after that everything is perfect up to now.

    Question 2.
I recommend there should be a clearance between your toe and shoes. Aside from lateral and side steps movement, i do a lot of forward hops then sudden stop to reach for a net shot from between mid and back court. Without that clearance, your nail will soon turns to black (you don't want that trust me).

    Question 3.
To update my post above after the break in, I say the clearance is 1.5. I'm sorry there's a typo error with my post. It should be 1.0 to 1.2 cm not 10.2 cm :) .
To answer your question: for me 1.0 cm is a little tight. Why? That clearance only refers to the big toe of your feet. What about the other 4? If it were my old Victor shoes I would say it's fine cause Victors have wide and spacious toe area. Wave Fang RX is not. It says it's for wide feet buy how wide is wide?

Better late than never. Amazing grip like ping pong rubber but will also wear fast too. I'm not a real fan of the excess plastic mesh stuff on top. I don't think it stretches as well.

Can anyone describe the cushion Mizuno Wave Fang RX?
Or compare with Wave Bolt 4 or SC6iEX?

Maybe 60-75% of the cushioning? Depending on forefoot or heel strike.

Can someone recommend a web shop where I can buy a pair of RX and return or exchange them? It would be great to pay with Paypal.
Rakuten does not work like that and no one sell them on Ebay =(

About 60% of SC6 and 75% of Bolt. I would consider it a "race day" shoe. It may be too hard or flat for some people. Also, have had complaints about longevity of grip. You lose the "superstickyness" faster. Definitely hard to find a place that will do the online return policy / exchange.
