So it's up on SOSA now. They're saying this new one essentially is slightly stiffer than the old one.
So I'd like to try out one of those new Victors, I guess you guys finally got to me Coming from rackets that are mostly 3U, 295mm balance rackets like the ARC11, Adipower DF/Pro, which would seem closest? I'm thinking about picking up a JS10 or a HX800. The 10 felt slightly on the light side, if the HX800 swings lighter than the 10, I'm definately getting the JS10
Go for the HX800. It's easily the closest to the ARC11. Might even pack a larger punch too. Swings heavier for sure and noticeably so even to an idiot
Tempting, I soort figured that the JS10 might be headheavy enough to swing heavier than the HX800, but I'm keen to try now.
Nah. No matter what impression we give from our feelings, the numbers don't lie. The HX800 does have a heavier head than the JS10.
Agree completely. It needs a damned plunger right now. I'm now getting the impression victor reads what we write here and is losing confidence in the JS line
There are one or two international players who may disagree completely and that's why they haven't moved away from BS12. Ko, LYD, YYS are three top players you simply can't ignore. Bear in mind YYS has a signature Jetspeed in the pipeline and still prefers to use BS12 at the moment. Like it or not, there is something about the BS12 that has become iconic. Maybe it's those players that aren't as fussed about the latest technology and just love the tried and tested feel of BS12. I'm happy to move with the times but can also understand the magnetism of BS12. It's easy to criticise when you're not running the business. Most BC'ers only look at equipment from their point of view and quite right too. However, let's remember that selling the equipment is a business. Manufacturers need to sell volume to be able to reinvest in the future technology. R & D costs money. There are too few BC'ers with an opinion or should I say multiple opinions. I'd dare say that if equipment manufacturers only listened to opinions here they would go bust. This forum is home for badminton fanatics. Out of all the players we know who play in clubs, we are a minority, albeit more educated and enthusiastic minority. That's still not a big enough number to sway opinion. We are definitely needed although whether we are heard is difficult to know. Long may we continue to have our opinions too because that's what makes the forum special. But remember, we do not represent the majority of badminton players otherwise our opinions would have far more impact. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I think the BS will start to disappear now, the BS LHI is getting more difficult to find and the BS12 blue will be again soon. I'm still searching for other rackets as good for me as BS LHI 3u and the closest I found is the JS10 4u althought a little lighter, hopefully a 3u version would be even closer. I have managed to order more BS LHI 3u before they became extinct!
They seem similar to me, the LHI was a little faster but the JS10 4u was close. I think 3u JS10 would be close.
Has anyone tried the BumbleBee JS-TF4 E? What JS racket is it based on? http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=1980#.VauhIYp4WnN
As far as i am aware, both these rackets were based on Thruster series. i have a friend who has them both and they are TK9000's from memory. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
The Optimus prime is based on a tk9000 which I have but the bumblebee claims to be a JS. It's spec looks the same as JS10 other than it has a 7.0mm shaft instead of 6.8mm on the JS10. It's available in 3u!
