In my usage at my tension (28-29lbs), NBG98 works much better for me, feel/durability stays around 3 months on average. I once had one for 4 months before it snapped. The strange thing is that it feels to me like a 0.68mm string, but NBG98 is a 0.66mm. Can't explain why. I also use BG80 from time to time. Great great control. BG66UM feels like hitting at wall at that tension to me, shuttle not going anywhere, strangely... And the crisp feel diminishes fast after 3 weeks to a month... Used it once as friend recommended me when I didn't know much at the time, I managed to "kill" repulsion but string wasn't snapping yet.
BG80 sky blue looks good with a matching grip, yellow looks good but if I put a matching grip on its no as nice. BG80 with matching white grip is best with the js10 though.
These were my two 4u I had before with the Bg80 White/sky blue My 3u MYP rackets have the same strings but no symbols as yet.
I know this is kinda silly to ask, but can anyone compare this to the Yonex VT-70E-T. Or, failing that compare it to any other Yonex racket.
I thought that would be the case. In my opinion, and this is a bit strange but, I think the JS-10 is a less head heavy version of what Yonex intended the Z-Speed to be like, but of course done correctly. I might be wrong though.
Not the stiffest for sure but it's pretty far enough up there. I can't compare..I've tried at least 150 rackets to date over the years
Wow, I could probably count the amount of rackets I've tried on my own two hands !! I'm used to medium/stiff head heavy rackets like the VT-7 and VT-70E-T. From what I've heard, I can expect similar power from the JS-10, but with a much faster defence and swing. Is this correct??
Yes you can. But can it ever truly out power the VT at the max output I doubt so. You just can't beat the extra mass of it if you get them swung at the same head speeds.
Fair enough, that makes sense. To be honest, I'm kind of growing out of head heavy rackets as I'm developing my front court doubles play. I've never had the biggest smash anyway. I can always add a little lead tape if I need to.
Am I the only one that feel the 3U KRP is Much stiffer than the regular 4U consumer version? My previous go-to racquet is the 3U ZF2. Coming from a head heavy racquet, I added some lead tape to the frame of my JS10 KRP to match the head weight of my ZF2 curious to see how would they compare. This did soften the flex a bit, but it was still VERY stiff. This added head weight combined with the super stiffness made it even more demanding than the 3U ZF2. After playing with this modded KRP beast for a while, my ZF2 felt like a flexy beginner's racquet. Can anyone compare the MYP and KRP? Is the MYP just as stiff as the KRP?
The KRP 3u felt a lot stiffer to me than the 4u, it wasn't noticeable to start with until I went back to the 4u after using the 3u KRP for an hour or so. The 4u felt very flexible in comparison. The MYP is supposed to be more head heavy than the KRP but I haven't heard any mention of stiffness. I have two 3u MYP rackets but I won't be using them until next week.
Is it true that the MYP JS10 3U is head heavier than most other variants? If so then it should be a good replacement for my current TK9000 KRP and ZF1. Anyone got any experience with it so far?
