I had a possibility to test face to face JS10 vs Onigiri today, both with BG80 and same set up and have to say, that I am really happy with my decision to go for Onigiri. Generally JS10 is faster, Onigiri is more powerful. I can imagine to have one JS10 for the moments where you are really tired, but that is probably not worth it the money for me. Also a friend of mine, who is a league player was impressed by Onigiri quite a lot. I would say both are quite similar, when switching them on the court. As a resume I will recommend as follows: who feels that BS10 3U is a fantastic racket and wants an improvement of it, then switch to JS10 4U worth the money. If you wish more power with your BS10 or 11, Onigiri can be definitely a solution and you will not loose much in speed! And if you have a feeling that you cannot handle ZF1 or ZF2 4U, then again Onigiri is a 100% solution for the problem. I tried also a bunch of Yonex rackets last few months and have to say, that Yonex doesn´t have IMHO nothing comparable with JS10 or Onigiri. At least for my likings those two rackets are extremely good and it was also valid for my BS10.
Full power: Onigiri > > BS10 > JS10
Quick smash: Onigiri > JS10 > BS10 in terms of power in terms of speed JS10 is better, depend what you need in the situation
Drives: hard to say JS10 is quick, but Onigiri is just a bit slower, but drives are so powerful. So depends on your skill/preferences. I do prefer Onigiri on this one.
Lifts: JS10 is a bit better then Onigiri and BS10, but not by much
Backhand clears: Onigiri > JS10=BS10
Drives from back forehand corner: Onigiri > > BS10 > JS10 (impressive for Onigiri)
Net play: BS10 = JS10 > Onigiri
Defence: JS10 > BS10 = Onigiri
My last feeling is that Onigiri is very precise racket. The feedback is very accurate. You exactly know, why it was 5cm out. Also for all NO power shots from rear court, I feel surer with Onigiri because of awareness of the racket´s head.

At the risk of invoking the wrath of the Victor anti-fanboys, I've played with the JS10 my girlfriend got me for my birthday the last two nights and am absolutely delighted with it.

Wickedly fast, powerful and just gives that feeling of confidence to go for those shots I might have hesitated on or shied away from before.

Hahaha I don't think there are as many "Victor anti-fanboys" as there are neutralists... (and certainly not as many as the Victor fanboys I'm sure! ;))

Plus, there's nothing wrong with your comment - it's in the right thread, and you've given a good accurate review for a great racket!

Is the signature versions (e.g. Ahmad) just the same as the JS10? Specs look the same. Can anyone confirm?

Not the same as all. String patterns and moulds are totally different.

Thanks! So does it mean it plays differently as well then?

Haven't had experience with the Ahmad on court but from dry swings alone, yes. I'm quite sure they play differently.

I hold the 4U and have a few dry swings with it last week. It feels more like a lighter 3U racket, Definitely head heavier. There's an Ahmad thread around, you may have a look.

So happy with this racket that I think I'm going to get a spare.

Anyone found any good deals in the UK before I shell out (i.e. better than the £139.99 that literally everywhere seems to be selling it for)?

Think that's probably the case.

EDIT: Does Benwilluk sell Victor stuff or have I got the wrong end of the stick somewhere?

This is a good price for this racket. We can't expect Europe to be as cheap as Asia. The cost of additional distribution, warehousing etc etc ensures prices will be higher.

Whether it's a good price or not, it seems pretty reasonable to try and find a better one if there is one to be found.

From the TW and CA versions I've seen, there's no difference. Despite the different regional coding for distribution purposes, they're all the same and made in TW.
