have you forgotten she played five tough matches back to back to win macau open and then another three setter in the first round here. .that was bound to happen.
Unbelievable other than MS, CHN can have finalists in all other events. In Macao, Korea grabbed all the titles except WS when there was barely any CHN in the event.
To be honest with you I am very upset to see young Korean players not performing well at all in this tournament. None could pass the second round except for Kim Hyo Min. That is why I didn't write any comments for today match. Only Kim Hyo Min advanced to play in the semifinals tomorrow. Makes me so upset. I just hope that Kim Hyo Min will win the WS title here but I know it will be tough too.
I am also very happy to see my idol K. srikanth finally advancing to play in the semifinals tomorrow. Congratulations Srikanth. You are finally back to your winning ways.
Yes I know but if she wants herself back in top10 she has to show consecutive lustrous performances... Also don't forget she hasn't played any elite except AY and she shouldn't have any of them to stretch her to a decided when she was leading throughout... Apthough physical of course it is difficult but she has to win all the opportunities she have when most of the top stars aren't showing up
SEMIFINALS (12.00pm local time, 1 court) => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...8A3A43-948B-46F8-8C90-C1B980DE6179&d=20151205 The quarterfinal round witnessed some big upsets as highly-favoured names succumbed to the underdogs. Local mixed doubles pair have bright prospect to nail title here, only four nations have representative in semifinal, China, India, Korea and host Indonesia. Semifinal place for Srikanth who scored early defeat regularly in most tournaments recently, he will take on dangerous local boys Ginting who stunned him in their first meeting, INA Premier last June. Home favourite Sugiarto is favoured to overcome the surprising semifinalist, 23 years old Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo, the latter eliminated two Chinese players, Huang YX-Shi YQ and two seeded players en route to last four, Tedjono (16th seed) and Zainuddin (12th). Pre-tournament favourites, Sindhu, Fanetri also Maria Febe got surprised at same round yesterday. The left-handed He BJ who disposed Indian top-seed will face local player Hera Desi, the latter knocked out her senior compatriot, Fanetri. At bottom-half, Chen YF thwarted second seed Febe to go further and the Chinese teenager has more experienced Korean player Kim HM for final berth. Reigning world champion, Ahsan/Setiawan continue their negative trend, lost to former partner Markis Kido who paired up with Hendra Aprida Gunawan this time. The top-seed looked dispirited at deciding game when their unseeded opponent overpowered them with fast attacking smashes. Kido/Gunawan next will challenge last week Macau Open beaten finalist, Angriawan/Saputro. Two Chinese combinations will meet each other at lower half of draw, Chai B/Hong W v Li JH/Liu YC. Ideal final in women's doubles discipline may happen tomorrow, a smooth run by local best hopeful Maheswari/Polii so far, all their opponents are their younger compatriots and Indonesian back-ups, Imawan/Nuraidah, Awanda/Istirani and Andini/Giovani. Title contender Tang YT/Yu Y dropped first game against former winner Vivian Hoo/Woon KW and they're predicted to progress against vast experienced double specialist Vita Marissa who partnered with Komala Dewi here. Home heroes Ahmad/Natsir are on course to final round, Chinese youngsters Li JH/Huang DP have an uphill task to overcome one of the elite mixed doubles pair. A big upset was created by Faisal/Aulia who rejected world #9 Lu K/Huang YQ fulfill the scenario. The giant-killer will challenge Jordan/Susanto who show good improvement lately. LIVE TV (12.00pm) matches : 1) Komala Dewi/Vita Marissa (INA) v Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang (CHN) 2) Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA) v Li Junhui/Huang Dongping (CHN) 3) Kim Hyo Min (KOR) v Chen Yu Fei (CHN) 4) Hendra Aprida Gunawan/Markis Kido (INA) v Berry Angriawan/Rian Agung Saputro (INA) 5) K. Srikanth (IND) v Anthony Ginting (INA)
Does anyone know who is the China coach for the WS and Ms? The regular personalities were not present.
The 17-yr-old Chen Yufei versus the 20-yr-old Kim Hyo Min. I think we should be seeing a lot more of them in the near future.
Chen Yufei looks laid-back for her age, almost nonchalant but with sudden outburst of energy when she smashes.
What a comeback, Chen Yufei, but, again, esp after a smash, her follow-up is not good.Unforced errors.
She need not smash hard when the opponent is out of position, sometimes a soft drop shot will do nicely.
