BOLD PREDICTION: Chen Long to win this tournament without dropping a single set(If he doesn't lose intentionally to Tian HW)
My prediction for MS: Chen Long and Hu Yun in Group A , K.Srikanth and Kento in Group B Prediction for WS: Carolina Marin and Saina in Group A, Wang Yihan and Sung Ji Hyun in Group B Prediction for MD: LYD/YYS , Ashan/setiawan in Group A , Kim/Kim , Boe pair in Group B
Actually, there's nothing at stake here for Chen Long, whether it be WR or R2R, and what's more, with both LD and LCW absent, I suspect his motivation to win is not high. In other words, nothing changes even if he skips this tournament, just no excuses to absent himself. For me, if we cannot have both LD and CL, I'd rather see LD play than CL. Then for all the eight contestants, there'll be everything to fight for. Even so, it's been a long year for everyone, I doubt anyone is in the best condition and form here, except perhaps for the one or two who haven't been playing much.
My predictions for MS: CL and HY from group A KS and VA from group B For WS: CM and NO from group A RI and WSX from group B
I am glad LD is not participating in the tournament. He is just going to get beat down by all, and that'll be a shame to see to happen for a player of his calibre.
Nitya/Greysia are in good group They should be able to beat both European pairs and have some good chance to win in SF, and to face TQ/ZYL again in the final
She is playing in Dubai. So are Fukuman/Yonao and all of the Koreans who withdrew from the U.S. GP a few weeks ago.

Top stars Saina Nehwal and Lee Chong Wei were the costliest buys, fetching the maximum prize of USD 100,000, while Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth were bought for a whopping USD 95,000 and USD 80,000 respectively at the rechristened Premier badminton League (PBL) players' auction here today.
