Hi, I am currently using on my nanoray 60, a ng 99 string at 10kg (20 pounds I think). But I got a lack of power on clear shot sometimes. I know I got also a technical deficience but I would like to know if I would be able to compensate with a zymax 66 fire ? If I can, how should I put the tension on the string ? Still 10 kg ? More ? Talking about zymax 66 fire because I have some extra string of it. Thanks for the advices.
If you have a problem with clearing, it is definitely not the string. You need to work on your technique.
I know yes. It happens when my opponent make me late. But doesn't a good string can help you a little to compensate, until you are getting a better technique?
The trampoline effect is one of the biggest hoax in racket sports. Take 2 different bouncy balls. A real soft one and a harder one. Drop them from 1m. What happens: The softer one will bounce higher. Now accelerate both and hit them as hard as you can on the floor. What will be the result? IMO the string tension is a very personal choice and if you have a small and compact and fast swing, you wouldn't benefit from lower tension or flexible shafts. This don't help OP. Sorry for OT.
You made some valid points. Not going to argue. After all my responce was weak without much thought and consideration. So thanks. Sorry OP
I agree with this. An end to end "clear" shot is achieve if you develop the right technique (right form, timing and court position) and proper arm conditioning. The racket, string and string tension combination are secondary.
