agreed, VTZF2 3U is definitely the bomb for attacks, it actually helps if you constantly weight train and you have your arm, shoulder and wrist strong enough to handle head heavies, at least if you're looking into increasing power for attacks and smashes
I want to get nr900 or JS YYS and I came from nr700fx, anyone can give advice for me to get nr900 or jsyys?
Is Nanoray 900 a good replacement for nanospeed 500. I am using Nanospeed 500 and I am quite confortable playing with it. I basically prefer a head light racket and I understand Nanoray & nanospeed are head light rackets. Both nanoray 900 & nanospeed 500 is in the 89 gms range and hence weight should not be an issue. So any advice on whether Nanoray 900 is a good replacement for Nanospeed 500.
JSYSS will be lighter (as per friend who has both JSYSS and JS10) as compared to NR900. How it actually played out I can't compared cox I don't have and haven't try out the JSYSS before. But for the NR900, it has weight behind the racket despite being a head light racket. It's comfortable using it though some may feel the lack of punch (coming from head heavy racket users) Coming from NR700fx, I think you might be more comfortable with the NR900. But it'll be better if you can borrow and try out the two rackets before making the decision to get either. After all, everyone has different preferences.
I didn't get to try out the nanospeed series so can't help you much on this. I'll give the same advice: try the racket and feel it for yourself.
Hi guys, anyone of you has tried both 2u and 3u version? Which one are more suitable for double? Thank you in advance for your reply.
I have another question about this racket too. Since yonex stated that this racket provide steeper smash and hence closer to the net, will it provide higher clear but closer to the midcourt rather than backcourt when we lift the shuttlecock as the angle is steeper?
Really depends on your preference. My preference is always 2U rackets from Ti10, Nanospeed 9000, Nanospeed 9000, Nanospeed 9900 and now Nanoray 900. I just feel the Nano series are lacking in power in the 3U version. For me the 2U is perfect.
I have both versions. The 3U's are my primary though. In my opinion, the 2U isn't really ideal for doubles. It definitely has more power and is easier to attack with but the extra weight noticeably affects the stellar maneuverability and fast handling characteristics of the NR900. Plus, I take attacking with the 3U NR900 a half decent challenge since it demands good technique to produce an effective smash.
I had it for two nights now, it doesn't has the speed and punch I expected compared to 4u victor TK9k. It certainly does not feel head light but a bit heavy in the T joint even though I put the overgrip over the original grip and plastic wrap still intact.
with this one I reacommand Yonex nbg99, or bg66 ultimax both with 24lbs tension. it has 18 - 24 lbs tension recommandation. I think it is due to its flexible head design. this one feel more head heavier than Nanospeed 9900. and It also feel more dull when you hit the shuttle. but the smash had little more power.
I could generate more power with the Z-Speed, defense is awesome too. But control is very hard with the Z-Speed - NR900 wins in this department.
