Yes, and not just in Yonex-land; Fernaldi and Chen Hung-Ling use G6.

I just stumbled over this old post.

I wonder about Mogensen (who is known to previously play repainted rackets):

In the overview, he's listed for VT80eTunes.

But the picture of his rackets show ARC11 paint.

Is it simply an error in the overview, or did the stringer/photographer see that it was indeed a repainted VT80eT?

I'm confused about the stringer's weight measurement.

    1KG = 3.2lb?

He probably gave them exactly whats listed...not unusual for pros to have one or two of a different model.
Some of those tensions though....Durkin 36lbs? Ekaterina something 14,5kg? Have they seen themselves play? Not even close to having the technique needed but they still go for those high numbers....weird.

Judging from the pictures, it might just be a mistake in the writing of the list.

Jørgensen and Mogensen is easily mistaken for each other, when the only thing you can see is "gensen" :)

Jørgensen is playing the very casually wrapped black towel grips, whereas Mogensen is playing the much more tightly wrapped yellow towel grips, that goes up the cone "doubles-style".

And they play the same string and tension anyway...

Paul is writing the week up for his website soon, so he might include the scoresheet. A few minor changes from last year, but nothing earth-shattering.

I was in Berlin for the Yonex Junior Cup 2016, just after the German Open. One of the German Yonex stringers there told me that at the German Open, 90%+ of the players were getting BG66UM and BG80, with BG66UM being the most requested string.

I saw one of them string rackets BTW, not a pretty sight. I can't tell if he only strung for the Juniors or if he was also stringing for the Pros earlier - if he was, those knots that Mark showed us from All England could easily have come from Germany ;-)

I also know some stringers there and I can't take up the cudgels for them. I doubt that BG66UM is the most requested string. I also had at the YGO a chit chat with Joshi and his staff (Greets to the girls at the sale section ;)) and a stringer (Volker) at the YGO. According to his information BG80 and BG65/BG65TI are for most pros the way to go, but AFAIK this impressions should be taken with a pinch of salt, because it depends whose rackets you get.

Yeah, it sounded strange, because it usually are the not so thin strings that goes into pro rackets. BG80/BG65. There's a small chance that I didn't understand the German spoken English well enough, so he could have meant to say 65, and my ears understood 66..

I also had a small chat with one of the Yonex stringers at the Swiss Open last week. He confirmed as well that it's BG80 and BG65(Ti) which were requested most by the pros. I think this matches with a lot of string/tension datasheets from previous tournaments that had been posted over the last year(s).

Does anyone know what string and tension endo and hayakawa use? I think they have the best soundtrack to their game.

Endo = BG80@30 lb, AFAIK. Hayakawa - who knows? But it's one of the best-sounding ones on the tour, I reckon.
