What do you think about them? I got my orange pair of Yonex Aerus today. I haven't used badminton shoes before, so I don't know if they are really good or not.
First time trying Mizuno shoes. They come up a little small for the sizing but still ok. Plus it should be better after breaking in. Seems pretty comfortable though. Would have love to get the Fang RX but can't seem to easily get it in the UK.
Yonex SHB Aerus Men (Yellow) Finally I got to use this after being delayed for 1 months because of knee injuries. Review: Very light. once again, very light. Footwork totally affected because of the lightness. the insole is pretty basic, comfortable as well. I think this is a standard to all yonex model. Upper a bit stiff, not as flexible as leather upper but i think the durability is pretty good though. Still needing time to "break-in" to the shoes. But I think overall this is a pretty good shoes and pretty light for a badminton shoes considering i played indoor soccer in which the shoes are much more lighter. Cheers jn.19
Nike Lunar Ballistec. (Sorry for the lack of original pics, will try to upload it later ) Hello! It's my first post ever. I play badminton at intermediate-advance level. So, I was considering getting a Yonex at first but I don't really like the quality of their shoes, then I turn my eyes to a renown shoemaker which is Nike. I ended up buying Lunar Ballistec which was a pair of Tennis shoes but I thought it should be pretty similar to Badminton shoes. I've been playing badminton with these shoes ever since I bought it for about a year ago and I can say I really love these shoes. Overall, I love the craftsmanship and quality that Nike put in their higher-end shoes. The outersole sticks to the court like a glue providing an instant braking action while the Flywires (the white cables thing that loop around the lace) fit well around my feet preventing it from slipping inside the shoes. There are supports around the shoes' body i.e like that claw thing which is pretty similar to Yonex's lateral claw. Durability of the sole is great as expected of Nike's XDR rubber, I only notice minimal wear the outersole of my shoes which is really amazing considering I sometimes play badminton on rough concrete court Lastly, I really love the cushioning, soft on my 'panda-heavy' impact (yes, I am 175cm@110kg) but responsive on the dash . The only downside is I could think of is probably the weight of the shoes. I think it weighs about 350-400 grams a piece, so if you are used to ultra lightweight shoes then you probably won't like it (also makes me want to get Yonex Aerus since it seems so light, but we shall see). Oh, and also the price, it costed me about US$160 Here is some information from Nike's page Cheers!
