    MS - Chen Long (CHN)
    WS - Carolina Marin (ESP)
MD - Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan (INA)
WD - Luo Ying/Luo Yu (CHN)
XD - Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei (CHN)

Badminton world's best are back to action for second Premier event of Superseries tour in Shah Alam, Malaysia, new venue for this year calendar as it took place at Putra Stadium in previous editions.

Two Chinese twin stars, Chen Long and Lin Dan who topped podium last year as champion and runner-up respectively alongside with home hero Lee Chong Wei as usual will be tournament big favourites to affirm their status as best MS in this contemporary era. Their main challenger are expected coming from Danish duo, Jan O Jorgensen-Viktor Axelsen and newly-crowned IND Superseries champion Kento Momota. World number one Chen Long has tricky road to defend his title here, Marc Zwiebler will be his opening round test then either Tommy Sugiarto or Vincent Wong Wing Ki at last sixteen. Waiting him at quarterfinal most likely is his younger compatriot Tian Houwei, next high possibly his semifinal hurdle is either Momota or Chou Tien Chen. At bottom-half, the much anticipated Lin-Lee clash may happen at last four but they must clear on paper quarterfinal rival, Jorgesen-Axelsen.
R/32 highlights : Chen Long (CHN) v Marc Zwiebler (GER), Tommy Sugiarto (INA) v Vincent Wong Wing Ki (HKG), Tian Houwei (CHN) v Hans Kristian Vittinghus (DEN)

Defending champion Carolina Marin and newest All England winner Nozomi Okuhara who skipped India Open last week are two of high profile WS players. Li Xuerui, Tai Tzu Ying, Wang Shixian and Wang Yihan had tasted to become MAS SS champion in past years and come back to retain their title. Other strong contenders should be 3rd and 4th seed, Saina Nehwal and Ratchanok Intanon respectively. Top-seed Marin will start her campaign against Yip Pui Yin then possible scenario may face Wang YH at last eight and either Intanon or Sung Ji Hyun next. 2014 champion Li XR has tough Japanese hurdle Akane Yamaguchi at first round followed by a string familiar foes, Tai TY, Wang SX and either Nehwal or Okuhara en route to last round.
R/32 highlights : P.V. Sindhu (IND) v He Bingjiao (CHN), Porntip Buranaprasertsuk (THA) v Lindaweni Fanetri (INA), Li Xuerui (CHN) v Akane Yamaguchi (JPN)

The most successful MD combination in 2015 Superseries circuit, Lee YD/Yoo YS will redeem their two defeats last month in GER Open and All England to claim first title in this season. Defending champion, Ahsan/Setiawan will meet former world junior champion Li JH/Liu YC to begin their journey here. The sensational Russian combo, Ivanov/Sozonov who created history in Birmingham early March may spring some upsets to surpise the favourites in this tournament.

Number one seed also second seed as well, Luo twins sisters and Maheswari/Polii must be extra wary at very first round, Matsuo/Naito and Fukuman/Yonao may deny their second round ticket. WD department becomes really interesting since early this year as Japanese pairs send strong signal to challenge China long domination and they did it well to pocket four titles in a row. A repeat of hot favourite Matsutomo/Takahashi-Tang YT/Yu Y clash is scripted at last eight.

The Olympic champion, Zhang N/Zhao YL who's still far from their best form will take on NED pair Arends/Piek then Shin BC/Chae YJ and the on-fire INA pair Jordan/Susanto at quarterfinal. Second seed the struggling Ahmad/Natsir will find dangerous Polish pair, Mateusiak/Zieba as first hurdle, Dubai SS Finals winner Adcock/Adcock should be their last eight opponent and followed by either Fischer/Pedersen or Ko SH/Kim HN in semifinal.
    R/32 highlights :
    MD - Lee YD/Yoo YS (KOR) v Lee SM/Tsai CH (TPE), Wang YL/Zhang W (CHN) v Astrup/Rasmussen (DEN), Koo KK/Tan BH (MAS) v Kamura/Sonoda (JPN)
    WD - Luo Y/Luo Y (CHN) v Matsuo/Naito (JPN), Chen QC/Jia YF (CHN) v Pedersen/Juhl (DEN), Puttita/Sapsiree (THA) v Chang YN/Lee SH (KOR), Fukuman/Yonao (JPN) v Maheswari/Polii (INA)
    XD - Widianto/Dili (INA) v Chan PS/Goh LY (MAS), Alexander/OKtaviani (INA) v Lee CH/Chau HW (HKG), Mateusiak/Zieba (POL) v Ahmad/Natsir (INA)

The OG champ and recently concluded Ind open RU LXR has a hell off a draw! I wobder is it the most difficult one of ALL TIME? Of course AY is a lil off track but not everybody would like to start a PSS against her in R1 and that too in such a crucial period, plus AY showed some good signs in the last tourney! Who is followed by TTY and WSX in the queue, it'll take a great deal of stamina and mental toughness to reach even the SF

Srikanth vs Ponsana is tricky for the young Indian. He is suppose to win but it is not easy against this gifted player, specially in early rounds when Ponsana has fresh legs.

LXR will suffer. If she wins everything, it will be AY, TTY, WSX, NO (or Saina), CM (or WYH). Quite an OLY preview

India Open SS semifinalist Issara/Amitrapai just lost in qualification round 14-21 21-13 9-21 to Yoo Yeon Seong/Chang Ye Na.

There are two others strong XD pairs playing in Qual round : Lee Yong Dae/Lee So Hee and Wang Yilyu/Chen Qingchen.

How can Lee and Yoo still play for qualification? It shows that their efforts in XD are not very fruitful

i don't think lee yong dae is going to do well in that xd partnership.. i don't really think he's that good of a mix player without a solid smash from the back and lee so hee isn't like the player he won the gold medal with.. yoo yeon seong and chang ye na have done pretty well before so i think if they play consistently together they should do well... or better at least

maybe they're just putting them in mixed to redefine their skills or something i mean there's no way they can qualify for the olympics
