FHF says he has played here for more than ten years but this is a new venue.

Most JPN doubles players are thin and small size. How come they don't have taller players?

So, the Singapore Open SS 2016 is finally over!

Congratulations to all the winners! There's 2 more events for Olympics qualifications: China Masters and BAC (for Asian players) 2016.

You are right. It is unfair for him to do double duty.

Congratulations to Ratchanok Intanon!! :) She made history today as the:
    • first player to win three Superseries Titles in three consecutive week. That's 18 days of tournament in three week :0
    • Also becoming the 3rd WS player -and 1st non-chinese player- in history to win three back to back title.
    • She will finally reach her career highest rank and become the new World Number 1 from next week, a few hundred points above Carolina Marin.

I thought SWH will challenge SDK at the net but he had no such plans.

A rare situation is when CHN didn't win title but MD. Usually MD is their 'weakest' link.
Congrats ZN/FHF! What a legend FHF is.

A brief summary of today game.

    Ws
Ratchanok Intanon proved to the whole world that she is the best Ws player now living up to her expiations. I also proved that her Ws junior gold medal is not a fluke after all.

    XD
Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na has proven that both of them are strong contenders for Olympics 2016 gold medals by winning the title today. Both have improved a lot.

    WD
Nothing to comment ad the Japanese WD pilled out injured hence the Indonesians WD won.

    MS
Sony proved to the world that despite injury he can still win a title. Good to see him making a come back now. He is playing at his level best now.

    MD
Fu Haifeng / Zhang Nan proved that both are still the strong contenders for Olympics 2016 gold medals by winning the MD title today. Glad to see both of them playing so well now to win.

Two titles for INA camp, fairytale ending for the qualifier Sony Dwi Kuncoro who suffered long time injury, he regained 2010 title at same venue, well done Sony :) Maybe PBSI should consider him as third single for upcoming Thomas Cup Finals ;)

A hat-trick for fantastic Ratchanok Intanon and she becames new world #1, the strong contender for Rio gold alongside with Okuhara and Marin. Sun Yu lost concentration after the umpire from Estonia awarded her yellow card at second game and started to produce many errors in deciding game while Intanon found her rhythm of play.

Ko SH/Kim HN are simply the better pair than Xu/Ma particularly Kim Ha Na at front area. Fu HF/Zhang N finally top podium after being runner three times last year, their victory over top-ranked Lee YD/Yoo YS in semifinal certainly spurred high confidence to overcome Kamura/Sonoda.

Superseries tour will take short break and next stop is INA Premier, end of next month :)
