    @pizzaboi

Thank you. I actually tried Altrax 81 4U borrowed from my friend, and feel it was perfectly fine for me. I would definitely try it again before having final decision :)

Btw, I'm in Viet Nam, not in Singapore :)

Just bought the jpx 8. Disappointed with the paint quality.

Paint chipped right after strings are strung.....:(

Ok, now I'm having second thoughts about the JPX if paint quality is that bad.

We have sold quite a number of the JPX out in these few months and all were strung with no complaints about any paint chips.
Do send us the pictures if any of the affected area.

Mine also no issue after stringing. Paint chips after restring more like the person who string your racquet was careless or his machine has issues?

Here you go, pictures as requested. I was there when the guy from gala sport strung the racket but I wasn't wearing glasses so did not notice these chips until much later. The last pic shows a dent resulting from the stringing clamp, I believe.

I have owned YY and Victors and have not had such issues especially with the first stringing. I certainly do not expect this from a top end mizuno product. I have a pair of top end mizuno football boots and they are absolutely fantastic workmanship and quality wise.

Yes Mizuno has good quality. Comparing the design to others it seems to be so much more decals being applied.
It seems pretty bad and like what you say not good for top end racquet. It could be one off? The Calibre series with a simpler paint job seems less of an issue.
Is a waste you didn't ID these areas before stringing. But no stringer gonna damage a new racquet knowing the customer will inspect. If is restring can argue....new...I don't think shops so silly.
Hope things gets better cos this brand has potential.

Another point to note is the shops should also check the racquets when it arrives at the store. Save consumers the trouble.

I am pretty sure its the result from the stringing. The paint chips areas are parallel and at areas where you expect the clamps to be. :(

I wasn't able to find any of the JPX models however I did find Luminasonic models there. I don't remember what they were. They said they only have new models so I bought a caliber vf. The guy working there said it was head heavy. I am not sure what the actually specs is. All I know is he said it was head heavy and max stringing tension is 30lbs. Anyone have any information on it?

I went to 2 Wimbley and Windsor store both in Shinjuku and Shibuya. I prefer the Windsor store as they have bigger selection and the price is a lot cheaper when it comes to yonex birds.

I will have reviews and pictures of what I bought in the coming days.

I was referring to yonex. At Wimbley I did see a tube of mizuno but the weren't the same tube I saw in 2014/2015 catalog. As for the mizuno birds vs the yonex prices the Mizuno are comparable to the yonex birds standard II. I have been told the yonex standard II are the same version of AS 30 which the rest of the ward uses.

So far I have played 4 hours using the caliber vf and I like it. The small head of the racket was something I need to get use to as I hit near the side of the racket string bed more often than I want to. I am basing this review off of the racket I own which is 9000k 4u

Mine was strung at 28/29 with ashway fire 62
Offense: It is a head heavy racket and you can feel it when you swing it. It has very good power when you hit it in the right spot. You don't have to put much effort on your back hand shot. It clears pretty far. I keep hitting out on my net clear and normal clear shot. The smashing sounds awesome. Net drops are easy to do. This racket feels really stiff, more than 9000k. Drives are fast and mind tend to fly out with this racket.

Defense: maybe I haven't played with it long enough but it feels like the racket is a little slow. But as far as defense clears it is pretty easy once you are able to connect racket to bird.

Paint seems very good quality as there have not been any chipped marks.

I am very please with this purchased. Updated pictures and reviews when I have more playing time this weekend
