Not bad for a first time feather player:p. Did lots of smart shots. It's unfortunate that he wasn't able to drop effectively. When I did a few overhead drills with him, he seems to slice his drops alot. I am sure his time at VRC will be well spent as he will be playing mixed on Sunday in a friendly tournament when he's back in Edmonton:). mg27 will be leaving tomorrow so he might post later. Two days of baddy in VRC is more than a week of his regular drop-ins:D.

    Hey Cappy75 et al:

I had a great time at VRC except for the last night that I couldn't play due to blisters on both my feet. Too much walking in crappy shoes. I'll remember the next time to bring shoes with thick insoles.

I have some pics and vid clips of cappy75 (I'll call him Godzilla of smashers) and Speedy78. Just have to figure out how to transfer the pics and vid clips to my computer first.

Vancouver was sure nice. It hardly rained. Visited White Rock (off-season), Fisherman's Wharf, walked along Robson Street a thousand times (looking for a place called Mondo Gelato), tried Stephos restaurant on Davies(I highly recommend it), sat on a bench and had a lunch along the beach of English Bay, walked through Gastown and Chinatown (Pender, Hastings, and some street called Carral (stay off this one).

I came back to Edmonton with a slight pulled muscle on my left side of my ribs. Couldn't smash last Friday and kept mis-hitting the shuttles (as I had to adjust playing from feathers back to nylons). I still managed to play in a fun (level doubles & mixed doubles)tournament in the city playing some mixed doubles . You get a t-shirt, door prize, and a lunch for $15.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to my next trip. I still have some airmiles to use up or just waiting for a cheap seat sale.

Speedy78 was very outgoing and made me feel right at home. Oh yeah, don't let Cappy75 near any gelato place. He can't help himself, he's gotta have his 6 scoops of gelato in one sitting (that's probably where he gets his smashing power from).

Hopefully I can get the vid clips and pictures of my visit.

Nah, don't get jealous LB:D. He drop-in for two nights. That's more hours playing than his entire month:p! Also, he did alot of his own sightseeing... mostly in downtown area. That's how he got his blisters:D.

Speed78 improved a lot lately due to lessons with Coach Ming (not Cappy75 ;) ).

Next time LB, we will hire a camera crew :) .

Heh! That's where you're wrong, FEND:p! That's Speed78's expertise there... she knows where to go for what food in the best restaurants in lower mainland. The lady is an encyclopedia of Asian culinary delights in our local area:D.
